Jazmundo- out of curiosity do you know what size bougie your doctor used? Mine used a 40. I also go a few steroid injections during my inpatient stay to keep down inflammation. Sorry you are struggling.

I'm not sure but I have tons of inflammation and I'm on high dose steroids. I've been able to get two Protein shakes and a small amount of mushies. Hopefully I can avoid the feeding tube tomorrow.

Oh and I developed a stricture very early so I'll need that dilated at 4 weeks post op

In the mornings I'm not really hungry but from 12:00 on - forget it!! I'm worried that I'm not going to lose cause I'm so hungry. For dinner I ate a cup of Progresso Light Clam Chowder. I didn't feel full so I had some snack Pak Fat Free pudding. I still felt hungry so I started to drink another Protein Shake but after 1 sip I didn't think I would be able to get it down so I put it away. That was an hour ago. I'm feeling hungry again but I don't want to eat after 7:30 at night so I keep sipping Water

I had surgery 2/4/15 and still can not get all my Protein in. I go for my first follow up in 2 days so we will see what they say

I will pray for you Jazmundo. Having a feeding tube sounds awful, I hope you can avoid it.You are doing great with your Protein intake, so good job there!

I am moving on to purees today, sounds like nursing home food, however, my surgeon said I will probably like this phase (I am on it for 3 weeks) as there is more variety and flavor.

Best wishes for your appointment today!

Jazmundo, how did your appointment go?

I was supposed to have my 2-week follow up with my nut today. Since I had my surgery 7 hours away, my nut was just going to call me, but she never did. I've been feeling extremely weak, but now that I just started soft foods and will start Vitamins tomorrow, I hope that feeling will subside.

I have a follow up today that I'm nervous about. I really don't want a feeding tube. I've been getting my 60 grams of Protein just not my Water. Pray for me please!

How have you been doing?

I am down 37 pounds, 27 since surgery on 2/3/2015. I am really amazed at how well I've adjusted so far to the tiny tummy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
