  • Hi Everyone. I apologize I have not been on. I had my surgery on Monday and had my IV's in for my liquids and pain meds. Day 2 was rough for me. I could not handle sips of water or oral pain meds. Eve

My daughter turns 21 tomorrow and up this point, it has been all about her. So, I decided 2015 was going to be all about ME! I'm scheduled for March 3, 2015!!!

Ok, well started my 2 week pre-op diet. 2 kiwis, 1 banana, 1 HMR 800 shake and a vitamin. Hey, its no chik-fil-a spicy chicken breakfast biscuit but ill take it. I feel....pleasantly satisfied.

Will it's offical. I was approved for surgery. March 18th can't come fast enough. Started pre op. Not bad. 2 protein shahes and 1 small meal. Nerves kicking in big time. Good luck my fellow March sleevers. Keep posting.

You can tell i'm nerves. I can't seem to type without errors. Lol

I've been reading about this. Is it that everything tastes bland or just different from how you know it tastes? I'm super curious.

I had mine on the second . Trying to get my protein and water but everything tastes so off.

It might be from lack of food. I know I have diet brain...for sure!

I have to say, I started on phase 2 of my diet and I'm having a hard time. For phase 2, I have a shake for breakfast and one for lunch and then a small dinner. I can still have veggies with my shakes and 2 small snacks. But, my body thinks it is starving. My poor husband is trying to be super patient. I feel cranky!

March 30 :)

A bit of a rant. I realize that this is "my" battle with food and that I can't expect everyone in my life to not eat in front of me, but for the past two evenings, my husband has brought home fast food and ate it in front of me. I normally make something for him but I didn't the past couple of days. This shit just gets real when you are sitting there with your water and there's the smell of French fries wafting through the air. If I complain, he will tell me that "I chose this", so I don't dare say a word. It just makes me feel like a freak because I can't eat like others do. I survived without raiding the fridge. I just went online and started looking the success stories. I can't wait for the weather to warm up because I am going to start going for walks when this happens again. But really??? French fries?!?! in front of a carb addict!! That's my crack. Okay, *taking a deep breath*...rant over. Boys and girls, we are at war with our own minds. I am not going to let it win. I have just over 3 weeks until my surgery date and I have lost over 30 lbs. in just over a month. I am declaring war on McDonald's french fries! :)

I loved my shakes now they seem obnoxiously sweet. The protein shot stuff I got is sweet and has an aftertaste. I have no desire to eat anything. Everything seems super globby tasting. I also have a mega head ache.

Thanks for the information! I've been wondering what it was like. That is amazing that you have no desire to eat. For years, I wanted to be one of those girls that said "I forgot to eat."

I am being added to the surgery schedule for March 24th!!
