I was sleeved on March 2nd. I'm only down about 20 pounds. 16 of that came off the first 2 weeks. As soon as my diet progressed my weight loss slowed way down. Sucks to be so hungry and eat so little and not lose much weight.

I'm pretty sure my system is in starvation mode. I can't get much of anything down, but not losing at all. I hope this passes soon. Has anyone else had their staples turned in and oversewn? It feels like I'm trying to swallow down a very narrow straw.

I'm still on liquids i start purees on the 20 of this month i got a Lil depressed because no weight was coming off the Protein messed with my stomach they told me use rice protein and i have found out to be disgusting even with adding fruit like the nut said. I pray for a change soon

My new stomach didn't like any of the Protein Shake either til I started the premier ones. I had horrific diarrhea my Dr ofc even started me on solid foods a week early cause I couldn't keep it in and I was getting dehydrated. Try the premier, they have alot of protein do you don't have to drink more than 2 of them. I also eat crystallized ginger to settle my stomach as well.

First check up with my surgeon today and I am a little over 3 weeks out! I am 30lbs down ( had a stall when I started phase 2 diet) and everything went really well! My doctor said I can have coffee again yay! Nut said I'm ready for denser foods. I wonder if anyone else had this issue.....I have had several dizzy or lightheaded spells. My doctor said it was because I am not getting enough sodium & I need to add more salt to my diet. I never would have guessed that! My nut said to start eating deli lunch meat. They also said I should lose 60lbs over the next 2-1/2 months! That seems impossible! I will do my best to make it happen by following the plan & exercising, but it is very hard to imagine that I will lose that much!

I had my second follow up yesterday, and I'm currently stalled. I've been the same weight for 12 days now. My Dr and Nut told me to increase calories to 800. I've been around 5-600 a day, plus working out. But yea, I've had those feelings like, how am I going to get more food in, when its hard right now? LOL. The opposite problem to have when trying not to eat too much, now I need to try to eat more. She wants me eating every 2-3 hours.

I've been dizzy and lightheaded a few times too..

the good thing is though, my blood pressure was SO good! It had been inching up a little over the past couple years.. it was perfect yesterday.

Don't get discouraged! My weight stalled for about the same amount of time. I was also eating around 500 cal, and following the plan! I guess my body had to stabilize or get out of starvation mode. I don't know, but adding denser food ( as I was told to do) added more calories. I am now at about 800 calories and my weight started dropping again! I have lost 3lbs just since Monday yay! Have faith in the process & your nutritionist. Your weight will start going down again. Adding a little coffee back has helped as well! My surgeon gave me the approval & not to be TMI but it got things moving again thank God lol!

@@NewgirlfromMd @@Chrystee Keep posting ladies. I'm in the same stalled place and this is encouraging. I have no problem getting things down but have been working to keep under 600 calories a day with a fair amount of walking. Keep plugging away.

I am majorly frustrated, not only did I stall but I went from 228 to 232 in 3 days. I am having major issues in getting in fluids. I don't want to drink. My doctor says just force it down. I am not a big drinker, getting in 30-40 oz a day is a struggle, much less the 50-60 she wants me to get in. She keeps threatening me with a PICC line and now she is saying she's going to delay my next stage of foods (soft mushy things). She also won't let me go to work so I feel very isolated at home alone all day. I am depressed and just want to curl in bed and sleep all day. I am not trying to be a difficult patient but I do not want to drink. I wish I could go back in time and change this. I know its for my health but I just want to go back to work and not be forced to drink more fluids.

Thanks! I'm not frustrated yet.. I just want to see it keep moving (give me an ounce here or something! So i'm trying. I already work out heavily too.. went to spinning today. I've been released for full activity so i'll be back to crossfit and everything.. I also realize its normal, so that's encouraging!

One comment from my Nut to my Dr.. My Dr said I could start running again.. (which I already have) and my Nut goes.. um.. she's 280 pounds.. she can't be running! I was like, um.. I do run, thank you very much..

You better add me to that same list. I'm stalled too. I was stuck at 219 for a few weeks and I only recently lost 2 lbs but, they were in 2 different weeks. I'm hoping the scale will move again for all of us. From what I have read, it sounds like a common problem.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
