It is great to read that everyone is doing well, those who just sleeved, IT WILL GET BETTER.

Today is day 8 from my surgery and I just got back from my Dr follow up, all is good. I feel good, my incisions look good and my progress is good. 14lbs down from my surgery date and 48 down in total :-)

Very much like Jill stated about, things I like before the surgery are way to sweet now. Today is also the first day in my week pureed food, so glad to be able to have something a little more the liquids. Pureed turkey chili was AWESOME !!!!

Keeping the liquids and the Proteins in are my goals for each day and not I will start some walking and experimenting with what solids taste good after being in a Nutri-Bullet.

Hi everyone, I was sleeved on the 31st. It was tougher than anticipated so I didn't really have the energy to come and check in with you all. It all sounds like your doing really well. For those sleeved earlier in the month, it's encouraging to read that it will get easier ☺ I was discharged from hospital yesterday and will be staying in my hotel for another 4 nights till I fly back to the UK. I'm very grateful for this time as I really couldn't imagine flying the way I feel now. The gas pains and cramps are a little breathtaking but I know it's just my body's way of adjusting. I read some people had to inject themselves afterwards, others didn't - I was one of the unlucky ones and have to for 3 weeks ???? When I was younger I used to have a phobia of needles, and whilst in the hospital I didn't bat an eyelid on the number of injections I was given, having to inject myself last night my phobia resurfaced. It took 4 hours to summon the courage but I eventually did it! It's crazy because everything I'd just put my body through but there I was stumbling over a little injection. Anyway, just wanted to check in with you all, hope all the late sleevers are rid of their gas pains soon ???? xx

I'm 11 days post op and I think I'm already stuck. I've weighed the exact same for 3 damn days. Only 9 lbs down. I'm very upset.

I was also sleeved on 3/31. I went home Thursday but am having a BIG issue getting in my fluids. I try walking but have so much pain, much more than at the hospital. I saw the doc yesterday and will se her again Monday, if I don't get enough fluids in I have to get infused. I feel like with infusion I would be failing but honestly all I want to do is sleep. It doesn't help that I developed a cold in the hospital.

I talked to my surgeon (more like broke down and called) she is going to get me in for infusion today. I'm hoping the extra Fluid will help me along.

When does the internal sleeve swelling go down? I so much miss swallowing liquid without the frothing.

I don't think i had frothing but i can definately tell that liquids are going down easier. I got in close to 64oz yesterday plus broth and sf popsicles.

Don't get discouraged yet, it's too early to worry. Just follow the plan, drink your fluids, get your Protein, get some exercise ( walking is best in the beginning) and get a goodnights sleep. Weighing yourself too much can be depressing.

I think my body is in starvation mode. The scale is not moving, I'm struggling it get in over 700 cal a day and Fluid is still difficult. I'm not discouraged since tomorrow is only 2 weeks since my surgery. It's just frustrating. So how many of us are going to Easter diner where no one knows we had the sleeve done and going to try to fake it today? Ugh.

I wanted to skip dinner but it's a family thing. However I'm taking my own tiny plate and silverware. Might as well just throw the elephant in the room myself and laugh at it.

@@sassycas45 I am on day 13 and the scale isn't moving. I only have myself to blame because I'm not following the rules. I've even snuck in a few cheese cubes (aka a dozen). What the heck?!? I am struggling to get in my Protein and Water too. It tastes gross to me. My husband said, "Just hold your nose!" Easier said than done. I am on full fluids until Day 18, when the pureed food starts. I know everyone has a different experience but I am so disappointed with myself! I thought I was stronger than this. I lost more weight pre op than I am losing now. I lost 49 lbs. pre op. I have only lost 10-14 since surgery......meaning I have weighed between 253 and 257 all week. I broke down and ordered some unflavored protein and am going to add some of that to my drinks today and see if I can detect anything. I feel like a whiner. I've got to get this right!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
