I got into a bad habit of grazing and thankfully I didn't gain any weight. I just hit a big ole stall.

I joined Planet Fitness and have been going for an hour everyday.

Prior to going to the gym, I could graze all day long and eat a good bit. (probably why I stalled)

After joining the gym, I noticed my appetite went down big time. I also stopped grazing and went to eating 5 meals a day. I usually eat oatmeal for Breakfast, a Protein shake for lunch, then a cheese stick as a snack, then for dinner Ill eat a salad with chicken and broccoli and cheese. Yes, I'm that boring with food. I can't even finish dinner and I'm making small portions.

So what I'm finding is I'm not nearly as hungry now and I can only eat maybe 5 ounces total. I can't even graze which is a good thing.

The weight is moving again. 7 lbs in the last 10 days. Size 34's fall off me now and I can fit into a 32 but they are tight on me.

Is this normal to go from grazing to not hungry and dropping weight again?

Were you grazing on a lot of carbs? If so, cutting back on those would almost certainly curb your appetite. Possibly a lot.

Come to think of it yes. Then I switched to healthier foods

It'll probably all level out. I'm surprised you weren't hungrier when you started working out an hour a day. For me, I can be feeling lots of hunger one day and the very next day have zero appetite at all. It's baffling.

I'm also taking 20 MG of adderall twice daily so that helps stave off the hunger. I've also been trying to drink more fluids when I get hungry and when I have sweet cravings I've been trying to eat grapes, pineapple or cantaloupe. So far so good Just got back from another workout. Everyone is complaining about being so sore but I'm not. :D

Make sure you backup that power workout with at least 20 gm protein!

Yes, just make sure that post workout you get about 20 of those 100. Fuel that muscle and you'll have better recovery, better sleep and better results!

Exercise lowers my stress, increases my energy, and makes me less hungry. When I do get hungry, I tend to crave healthier foods. Also, for every pound of muscle you gain, you burn 50 more calories per day AND you continue to burn additional calories after working out. So many benefits, it's amazing!

I also recommend keeping the carbs in check. My nutritionist recommends 5g or less of sugar carbs per serving (meaning no rice, Pasta, bread, etc.) I find that when I do have carby foods, I simply crave them more.

I actually mix a bit of Protein drink with unsweetened almond milk on ice to drink during my workout.

Best of luck to you and continued success!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
