How did you feel after EDG?

My EDG has been scheduled the same day as my anniversary. They told me to be at the hospital at 6:45 in the morning and I'd be there about 2 and a half hours. My plan was to come home and take a nap, get ready, then go to a movie at 3 followed by dinner. Can anyone tell me if you think I would feel up to this or if I will probably not feel like doing anything that day? I really hate to cancel but I don't want to ruin the evening. I bought my tickets to the movie yesterday and they called today to scheduled my EDG appointment and of coarse it falls on the same day!

I got a nap for my EDG, too. Someone else had to drive. I was groggy the rest of the day, but not in any pain.

Mine lasted 15 minutes. They gave me Propofol, not general anesthesia. Once the procedure was over it took me about 15 minutes to feel like myself and then I was able to leave the hospital. They did tell me not to drive for 12 hours. When I got home I slept for about an hour and was then fine.

I too pretty much spent the rest of the day sleeping after mine. My throat was also really sore for a day or two.

I had mine early morning with Propofol. Took a nap when I got home. Had lunch around 2:30pm. Signed on the computer and worked from home for a few hours. I was not supposed to drive for 12 hours. I would have been fine with the nap, dinner and movie.

I was very I'll after my EGD. The anesthesia totally did me in...
