So I'm reading g through the boards and of course people are dropping sized at a pretty good pace. What are you wearing or buying clothes through this process?

Thrift shops. I've got all their schedules down so I know which day is half price day at the Salvation Army or which day goodwill changes their sale items. Once I'm at goal, I'll probably go back to buying new, but for now this works.

@@laurenella82 I've noticed that a lot too...there should be some kind of clothes exchange link or to sale, buy, trade whatever! There's so many Of us switching sizes all the time. There may already be one I'm not too good at finding my way around this site yet.

I was thinking the same thing! It would be cool to do it by location so we can meet each other and swap/sell to each other. Like a pop up shop.

Our local bariatric support groups have clothing exchanges. It's good to clean out the closet and donate it to the group.

I kept most of my clothes as I grew too big for them. I know, people say to get rid of your pre pregnancy or way too small clothes, but I didn't. How can you get rid of something like a handmade vintage dress? So what if it's a size 8 and now I'm a size 18. I have a younger sister that is 15 years younger than me that has raided my closet a few times. She likes to remind me how I won't be wearing a size 8-10 anytime soon. There is just a lot of memories in my past clothes. I have lost 50 pounds in the past two months and it feels good to select clothes out of that abandoned closet. I went down from a 20 to an 18 this month. I had a pair of patchwork jeans that I couldn't wait to fit into again. But now they are already loose. I can slide them down over my hips without undoing the button. Oh well! I can't wait to get into 16 again. Most of my nicer work clothes are in that size. I dream of the day I can snatch back and wear the clothes my little sister took.

@@proudgrammy Question! What does it mean when people add you as a friend? It tells me people added me as a friend but I don't understand what that actually does?

@@Elode

i don't understand why they would add you as a friend??

i think the main reason is they can push their friends area and your name and correspond easier, as in a PM (personal message??)

don't worry about people adding YOU as a friend

kidding bud ;)

just for that

bing...........i just added you as "my friend" ;)

gonna make something of it?? :D

After not dropping a size after losing many, many pounds, I am finally able to wear regular sizes and shop in regular stores. I've kind of gone crazy at Ross. And even though wise women on this site warned me not to, I bought a bunch of new clothes in sizes that quickly became too large. So now I need to clear my closet of not only my plus size clothes, but also some of my size L clothes, as well.

It's a good thing I've been running wild at Ross rather than Nordstrom!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
