OK sleever, I am 6 days before the big day, and NERVOUS AS HELL!!

I have all the "what ifs" playing in my head, but deep down inside I have such a calm feeling that everything will be ok, a positive intuition....

any last min advice?

any last min shopping haul advice?

any :night before surgery" nerve calming advice?

thank you for all your support thus far :)

Gas x strips!!!!!! They were a huge saver for me. If I had to do it over I would have taken them without telling the nurse. She took them for approval and I waited 2 hours for relief.

your taste buds may change after surgery...so you don't want to stock up on supplies too much...

the night before I was a wreck...couldn't sleep...so excited... tylenol pm helped me...I put on a "happy" movie and fell asleep watching it (usually takes me about an hour after I take it to doze off)

Best thing I ever did for ME!

Good luck! :)

BTW, you may qualify for free Protein shakes, Vitamins and scar cream by filling out the form on InsureNutrition.com....comes right to your door every month!

If you have an iPod there are some free guided relaxation meditations on the itunes store...I use them before I go to bed if I'm feeling really keyed up...or if I wake up and can't fall back to sleep...they help me clear my mind.

Yay! So exciting! I would not buy a while lot just yet. Your taste buds may change after surgery. Mine did and now I have a cabinet full of stuff that you couldn't pay me enough to drink! I took a hot bubble bath the night before. It was so relaxing! I felt refreshed the next morning. You will do great! Keeping thinking positive thoughts! Also, be sure to walk after surgery. This will help with your recovery. I got up to walk about 2 hours after surgery. Walk walk walk!! Sending you good vibes!!!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
