I know this is the right thing to do, my final wake up call was being diagnosed with type2 diabetes last week but I must say I'm a bit nervous!

Surgery set for February 4th - in St Louis mo

I'm set for the 4th also! For the record, Pre-op diet is tough!

I'm about to finalize my date for February!!! Sooooo excited!!!!!!!

Feb. 9th for me. Insurance finally approved after 2 denials.

My sleeve surgery is scheduled for February 12 at fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia.

Well I finally have a definite date- February 3rd. Now I can start panicking in earnest!

So, have you started your pre-op diet yet? I am day-3 and it's not so bad....

I just got my insurance approval today and my advocate said it would be about three weeks from now for my sleeve so early February 2015 for me!

I'm set for February 3rd. Optifast preop diet begins Sunday. It still doesn't seem real to me. I think I've gone the full emotional circle from being excited to terrified, ready to tell everyone, deciding not to tell anyone, fear of the what-if; fear of failure, excited about not failing again, scared of the possible pain after surgery, not being able to enjoy the foods and drinks I used to, and glad I can enjoy them but not like I used to. So I talked to my surgeon and told him I had changed my mind. He spent quite a bit of time answering my questions and assuring me I was doing the right thing for me. My husband is super supportive and we are looking forward to a life we haven't experienced yet. We were watching an ad for a cruise and the guests were snorkeling, scuba diving and dancing the night away. We both decided that was now on bucket list! What have you added to your list?

Charlotte, you summed up my experience to a T! I have also decided not to tell anyone. I am going to Tijuana to have mine done and I just do not want to handle all the negative comments! I am set for the day after you, so lets keep in touch thru all this! Good luck and Enjoy that shake today!

Charlotte,

My surgery is also set for the 3rd and you basically summed up EXACTLY how I feel! I am excited, yet terrified at the same time! I've been overweight/obese my entire life and, as much as I try, I cannot picture myself being at a "normal" weight. I see all these amazing transformations, and I can't seem to see myself in their position.

I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I cannot wait to get this extra weight off for some relief!! Something I want to add to my bucket list after surgery is to go to Europe and get around with ease!

Good luck with your surgery! 12 days left!!!!

Ok I have totally been "nesting". I got a magic bullet for Xmas. Last weekend a bought a new George foremen grill. I ordered some injury protein powder & toriani sugar free syrups. Now I'm just waiting for my last supervised diet visit... Sigh

P.s. I switched to decaf coffee too
