My surgery is scheduled for November 17th, two weeks from today. Man, that sounds scarry! LOL Nice to meet you too. I am going out on a limb and assume that is your daughter in the pic with you. She is a beautiful little girl and you "marked" her well because she looks just like you.

Well wishes for your upcoming surgery!!! It's a tough journey, with lots of up and downs, but so worth it. Just remember to roll with the punches babe...there's plenty of them! But you'll be fine!

Yes, that's my daughter :) thank you so much!! she's the baby of 4 and only girl. That photo was at Christmas 2 years ago...shes 15 now and a sophomore in highschool

:( yes, she resembles me quite a bit, fortunately she didn't get my side of the family genes where her figure is concerned. I wasnt heavy as a child/teenager/young adult either, but I was definitely "curvy" and I always knew I'd have trouble if I didn't watch. She takes after my husbands mother. She's very dainty and petite in every way. I love that she'll never have to worry about obesity.

That's exactly how I feel! Physically, I'm not hungry, but I don't feel well. I feel malnourished and I feel like my body is screaming "EAT SOMETHING, I'M SLOWLY DYING!" This full liquids phase has been really hard on me, after spending 2 weeks pre op on basically the same diet. I'm ready for some real food, even if it's baby food texture.

Yep! I also had the runs for 3 days & that certainly didn't help! I was in my post-op for 3+ weeks because insurance took so long. Good news is I'm down 10.5 in 6 days and 25.5 overall ????

I just past the liquid phase! Let me tell you that Beans have never tasted so good in my entire life lol. I added all kinds of spices. Then after two baby spoon size bites the thrill was over because I was full. :( It was the shortes in heaven experience ever. LOL good luck with the soft phase.

@@Jake B. LOL! Your reply made me giggle out loud..I can totally see food being anti-climactic now...forever. It's kinda sad cause MAN! I LOVE FOOD! I love cooking it and I love eating it, but I'm so excited to know I'm on my way to a LONGER healthier life. (I can't help that I'm still gonna miss food...)

This is so funny, I was thinking the same thing today! LOL I made DD a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch today and she only ate half. Boy, was I eyeing the uneaten half!!! I have my 1 week follow up tomorrow so I'm hoping to be able to start full liquids tomorrow or Wednesday. I am going to devour some Cream of Wheat!!! LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
