Please help

I am three weeks post op and eat 1 cup of cottage cheese, 2oz cheddar cheese and 1-2 protein shakes a day. Am I eating too much? It averages about 500 calories. My weight is at a stand still. I appreciate any feedback.

Most people have a "stall" at about that time post-op. Just keep following the program and your weight loss will pick back up again.

500 calories at 3 weeks out sounds about right. Stalls are common at around 3-4 weeks. Hang in there, follow the plan and you should start losing very soon again.

Take your scale out back and smash it with a sledge hammer. You are sabotaging yourself. Seriously I never weighed myself throughout my losing process. I never had a stall or a gain. Always happy with the progress because I only got weighed at my doctors office. As long as you are following your doctors plan you will make it.

You also have to remember you are still healing. Your body is under attack and it is trying to adjust. You are still flushing out the meds they gave you and your body is also starting to flush out the toxins you stored up. That does not happen over night. That will happen a long the way as well. But you are not in a place right now to worry about a stall or weight gain. As long as you are looking straight ahead and doing what you are suppose to do. You will be who you want to be. Okay hun! :)

Sounds about right to me. Are you following your surgeon's recommendations? Trying to understand your scale will make you crazy. you will do everything perfectly and be at a stand still and then all of the sudden one day you will weigh in and it will have dropped several pounds. It's maddening! Just stick with the basics (Protein, low carbs, water) and you will start losing again!
