    Surgeon told me...

My surgeon told me to take one bite every 10 minutes while eating a meal. He said it will take me one hour to eat half of a sandwich. Is this true? Do sleevers practice this? This seems crazy to me. I'm willing to do anything if need be but this seems over the top to me. He also said I would eat around 1/4 cup of food each meal. Do you all eat this little? Are you satisfied after eating this little amount of food?

What's with all the "diet" food?

I am 6 months post op and eat extremely low carb. I actually enjoy it. I eat very limited processed foods. A lot of meats, cheese and veggies. I do eat butter and a lot of Olive oil. Low carb works for me since meats and cheeses are loaded with protein and fill me up. After eating my protein and vegetable I rarely have room for a side dish is almost always a carb. I still make potatoes, rice and pasta for my family but I don't eat them not do I want to. I do eat the occasional sweet treat though. Pretty often, actually. I am 65 pounds down and 35 pounds to go.

    TWO month stall!

When I'm in a stall I always UP my calories, eat what I want for two days and I break through them every time. I eat extremely low carb, so adding carbs is what I mean when I say way what you want.
  4. My typical day Premier protein shake on the way into. Work. P3 protein snack around 10:30 Sliced sausage with a veggie or leftovers from the night before. I love shrimp sautéed in butter and garlic too for lunch around 1 String cheese or hard boiled egg around three or 4. I like beef jerky too. I have been loving 4% ground beef patties with Swiss cheese on top and a roasted veggie for dinner. I do chicken breasts a lot too.

What is a typical day of eating for you?

Blerdgirl you eat light! Good for you. I get hungry if I don't have dense protein.

I love the trader's baked flounder. I'm going to try the tuna for a snack. Do you eat it dry?

    Just curious...

I've never thrown up. I can eat whatever I want just not a lot if it. I have no negative symptoms.

    Need help!

I has surgery on 9/30/2014 and have felt wonderful up until a few days ago. I have 0 energy, all my bones ache and I am freezing. At first I thought I was getting sick, but now I'm wondering if it is from a lack of carbs or a vitamin deficiency. My blood results came back perfect 2 weeks ago. I only take a bariatric multi vitamin. Help! I'm miserable
  13. One night. One week off. I was fine to go back after a week.
  14. I can't stand premier protein. I thought I was the only one. I drink the fuzzy navel nectar and I love the mocha coffee Atkins shakes. I drink one every morning. I wish I liked the premier as much as everyone else. Seems like the cleanest.

    Cursed or blessed?

I am 9 weeks post op. I can eat whatever I want with no consequences. I don't slime, become nauseated-nothin! If I eat too much , I feel full, that's it. Am I cursed or blessed? I have had no side effects whatsoever from this surgery.

    Frustrated with the scale!

Same thing happened to me. My clothes were getting loser but the scale wasn't moving. I was on a three week stall. This past Monday it started moving again. I lost 5 pounds that week

    Outpatient vs. Inpatient?

I was not scared or stressed at all. The odds of me dying of a heart attack or stroke in the future were much greater than me dying from the surgery. That's how I stayed positive.
  18. I paid $1,000 copay and never saw a bill! Lucky me, I guess.

  21. I had the black tat poop for almost a week! Yes, you should be eAting more than 160 calories a day! You will start a weight stall if you eat that little. If I stop losing, I always up my calories a bit and stArt losing again. Welcome to the losers bench by the way!

    Snack ideas?

I do the jack links turkey jerky snack packs. I love them. I also love a thin slice of turkey wrapped around 1/2 a cheese stick and a pickle spear. Babybel cheese, sliced cucumbers topped with homemade pimento cheese spread. I eat a lot of cheeses and nitrate free all natural lunch meats

Sleeved September 30, 2014 anyone else?

I had mine 9-30 as well! How is everyone doing?

Don't know what to eat :(

Breakfast premier protein shake or Atkins mocha protein shake ( my favorite!) Late morning snack cheese and thin pickle spear wrapped in turkey dipped in mustard Lunch 3/4 of a turkey sausage ( johnsonville turkey cheddarwurst are good) I top sausage with homemade pimento cheese. Or 2 meatballs topped with cheddar or tuna or chicken salad or 1/2 a bean and cheese cup from Taco Bell Snack jack links turkey jerky insividual packs ( love these) or a couple slices if cheese or cottage cheese Dinner shrimp and squash cooked in nuwave oven or extra lean ground beef cooked in nuwave oven or chicken marinated in a 30 minute marinade with carrots cooked in nuwave. The nuwave oven really helps me cook a super quick healthy meal. I would struggle without it. I'm 7 weeks post op and want to start juicing soon. I eat 0 sugar. I don't like sugar anymore at all. I do crave savory though. If I am craving something naughty like Cheetos I eat a few and I'm satisfied.
