My revision was yesterday. I feel pretty good with very little pain. Not hungry at all just concentrating on drinking so I can go home.

My doctor did say that I had a lot of scarring but said he was able to do the sleeve pretty easily. Now on to recovery!

Thanks all. It's day 3 and I really am feeling pretty good. Just trying to work on my Water and Protein Shake. I hurt when I go to stand up or sit down once I'm up or down I have virtually no pain.

Day 5 and I'm struggling. No pain at all and no problems drinking but I'm very dizzy and lethargic. Trying some Gatorade per my doc but it's only helping a little. Any suggestions?

Push those fluids, same here. I have to remind myself to sip sip sip, it's so important or you don't want to go bavk to hospital for dehydration

I know each surgeon diet requirements are different, but I'm still on Clear liquids only. I had my band removed in May 2014, and was sleeved on Aug 26. It was not as smooth sailing as I had hoped. Extreme nausea, the barium X-ray drink gave me extreme stomach problems and then I started having a painful back pain so my stay was 4 days instead of 2. However, now that I'm home, I'm feeling better. Super tired, and not hungry at all, but good overall.

I'm still on all Clear Liquids, but 1/4 cup of broth and a spoonful of sugar free jell-o and I am FULL. Not the painful stuck full like the band, but full like yummy thanksgiving dinner. I have to admit, I'm loving the loss of hunger sensation.

I think the key is keeping gently active, not forcing each new step or milestone and set personal reminders to consistently keep those fluids coming. I know for myself I want this so bad that it's just a matter of keeping our head in the game. Good luck and good thoughts to you!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
