Hey Everyone!

My name is Katarina, I'm 26 and I live in Minnesota! Just met with my surgeon today to schedule my VSG! I chose Tuesday, September 2nd, the day after Labor Day! My pre-op liquid diet starts Saturday, August 23rd. Wondering if anyone else is having surgery on or around this date? I would LOVE to have a surgery buddy! Someone who is going through what I am, when I am, so we can help each other out! Also, if anyone has an Instagram, my user name is liberianne_gal. I follow tons of amazing men and women who have went through Weight Loss Surgery and have fantastic stories! Can't wait to create my own!

@@barbclay how do you feel now that your home?, Got mine Monday morning and spent the night in the hospital bc of pain and nausea. Home now but still in a good amount of pain.

I hope you feel better soon. I'm just 13 days away from mine.

Just got home and in pretty good amount of painNot feeling great! Hoping these next few days fly by quickly and I can be normal again.

I am not a big fan of the sweet protein drinks but I really like the unjury chicken flavor protein. I can actually get in the full 8 oz over time.

I did it. I am sleeved. Woke up from surgery at 0930 today. Some bad pain at first. I was up walking before noon. Getting fair amount of liquids in. Twisting and reaching hurt the most. Everyone is happy with my progress. Excited for the future.

Today is the day!!!! I am on my way to the hospital. I am excited to start a more healthy life. Asking for your prayers. Will keep my WLS family posted.

@@BellaLuce4 dr. Halpin portland oregon. Slept good. Peeing a lot. Managing pain well. Worst was right after surgery....put that all behind me now.

Same here doing good. Just had breakfast sip sip sip. Tastes were fine. Ready when this part of the journey.

The Hospital just called me with my surgery time for 9/16 ... 3:30 pm. Ugh. Said not liquids from midnight before even though it is almost dinner the next day, any suggestions? I'm so excited, just bummed about spending the entire day waiting.. Thirsty and hungry.

I hate when they do that as well. I had a hip surgery it was at 5pm. Just try not to think about it and it's not too bad is my suggestion. Good luck!!
