Got sleeved by Dr. David Kim yesterday! It went so week I went home late that same evening. I have some left side pain from the incision where they removed the stomach. Other than that my throat is really sore from the tube. Drinking 1oz of fluids every 15 mins and walking all the time! Walking makes such a huge difference! Walk walk walk!

Thank you Fit! The surgery went so well I got to go home the same day! I'm at home recovering now.

Hi Emma! Congrats sweetie on sticking with the process. My first visit to Dr. Kim was 7/9. I've had the scope, nutrition class and passed cardiac clearance. My university class and pre-op is on 9/9. I will start my liquid diet on 9/18 and surgery is 9/25. WLS is a policy exclusion on my insurance so I qualified for the MBA program so I didn't have to jump through the insurance required hoops per say. Let's keep in touch. Happy to give you some insight since I'm rather month ahead of you. Thanks for the good luck wishes!

My surgery is also on the 16th! I'm starting the diet tomorrow I'm obsessed with Dr. Weiner's informative videos on YouTube. I purchased his book as well. It sounds like you are great hands. Best wishes with your surgery. Shannon MacDallas, Texas

Hey everyone, my surgery is September 25th. Are any of these groups still active?

Im required to start a liquid diet on September 18th to prepare for my surgery on the 25th, yay! I'm excited and a little anxious for this new chapter! Dr. Kim requires a protein drink sold at his office but I'm curious of any of you started your version of the liquid diet earlier than required? Any benefits to conditioning your body ahead of time? Would love your feedback and suggestions!

Dr Michael Wiener on you tube suggest 10,000mg so I take 2 pills a day.

Mine is 9/23 and I have to do a week pre-op full liquid and 3 days before surgery clear liquid only. My liquid diet will start 9/18. Dr. Kim requires me to purchase it from him. I have my pre-op on 9/9, I'll let you know what I'm having as soon as I get it sweetie.
