JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

  • Popular Post

Hey folks. I was looking to set up a thread for July 2014 sleevers. I believe the other threads were originally back in 2013.

I just had my surgery on July 2. I'm SO glad I did this. My breaking point was being diagnosed with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and a host of other problems. I put on another 30 pounds from October to February of this year. I was a good 185 and quit smoking. I ballooned up to 305. I'm self pay and I got to 278 during my pre-surgery.

Since the surgery, I don't think I've been hungry, but I'm still dealing with the healing process. My first postop is Thursday. My only complaint is the low energy level. I knew it was coming, but wow.

I'd like to hear from those who started their life change this month. I am also hoping this can be a thread we can keep tabs on each other, as well as provide motivation when we need it

Good to hear that! I thought I was the only one that stalled out so early for sooooo long! I guess I just expected much better progress after reading the posts on here.

I was sleeved on July 23rd :)

I was sleeved on 7/29. I spent a week in the hospital. I came home with a feeding tube. I drink 2 Premiere choc Protein Drinks a day and 2-3 bites of food. I am down 53 lbs.

I am struggling lately with wanting sweets. I have been staying in a good calorie range and loading weight, but fear getting out if control because of these cravings. Does anyone have any tips? Just fearful of triggering old habits and going back to where I was.

I totally understand I've been craving junk food also reg food wasn't really my thing I was a junk food junkie and don't want to ho back down that road but for my chocolate crave I just ate a chocolate caramel peanut butter protein bar it was great and its 20 grams of protein

There were times during last month that I thought the same and I only lost 3.5 Kg (7.7 lbs) while my doctor expected me to lose 11-15 lbs per month but I eventually could make peace in my mind with that but then this month after I started dancing 5 days a week, my scale moves down everyday, kinda scary, so far I've already lost 10.34 lbs, still have 4 days to go, probably I can reach Dr's expectation this month.

Cheer up!! xxx

Thanks @@mrsscott32 last month I lost 11.22 lbs woohoo!!

On the other hand, last week my weight moving down and up back to the same point. I guess my body will take another month to adjust with the new status. It's been so long time I never weight less than 80 kg (around 176 lbs) Now I weight 170 lbs, so I give it time to get a grip and mourn before moving on lol.

Down 63 lbs total since right before the pre op diet weight and 40 since the day of surgery. Just wanted to post a progress picture since I haven't yet! post-217263-14126886978479_thumb.jpgpost-217263-14126887185366_thumb.jpg

Wow..you look amazing n0ble

@@n0ble199 Wow you look great!! Congrats!

Today is my 3 months surgiversary! (Sleeved on 07/07/14) I've lost so far 39 lbs, and today for a tiny NSV -- I went to H&M and bought a cardigan because it's getting colder. I can wear a size M! M!! I almost couldn't believe it. Before I couldn't squeeze in even size XL of this shop and now I'm fit perfectly in a size M (not even tight!).

It's a good day, wish you guys all the best!
