Hi guys I'm new here and absolutely love this site! I was sleeved on april 14th so I'm about 3 and a half weeks post op on the puree stage now. Down 25 lbs. I'm a little worried because sometimes I don't get that full "feeling" with certain foods and get super full real quick with other foods. Depending on what I'm eating I can definitely put in more than 2 oz. It scares me because I'm still learning to be aware of what and how much I eat. Is this normal though, not "feeling" full with some foods? Thanks!

I had the surgery April 22 and really have yet to feel "full". I stop eating because I feel I should, not because I feel I have to. No hunger, but no real signs of full.

I just started purée, not sure if this will change once I get soft food

I'm eating 400-650 calories per day...which seems high.

I wish I had the infamous sneeze, hiccup or burp that others seem to get

Try thicker foods like refried Beans. Also the drinking rule is very pertinent on whether you feel full or not. But yes, I'm 3 months out and I've learned which foods will keep me full longer, etc

I get the hiccups, loud ones too! But sometimes I feel like it takes a while and more than 2 oz to get there. I don't intentionally eat til the hiccups come, like I said still learning the "you should stop eating now" mindset. Slowly getting there :/

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
