I did not have a pre op diet. I was part of a six month managed plan that started at 2000 calories per day and ended at 1700 per day. I lost 42 pounds pre op and my BP and vitals were much improved. Surgeon said any liver reduction had been accomplished along the way, so no special diet.

Two weeks post op my doctor had me on a low carb diet. Nothing major. Two days prior to surgery I was on clear liquids.

I have a 1200 calorie a day pre-op diet from my bariatric department. There are specific food groups I have to eat at certain times and everything is weighed and measured. I only have a liquid diet for 24 hours prior to surgery.

2 weeks prior.. 2-3 Protein drinks per day. Light meal at night.

My pre-op dirt is going with me to the grave! ;)

All jokes aside, my surgeon didn't require one.

Two weeks of Protein shakes for breakfast/lunch and a lean and green dinner. First 5 days was hard, but then after that, I was all good.

Two weeks of just milk and yoghurt. I was mooing by the day of surgery!

3 days clear liquids....low sodium broth, water, sf jello, decaf tea is all we are allowed. Surgery is tomorrow... th eonly good thing about the preop is I can't wait for it to end.... so surgery nerves have diminished some

I started my two week post op diet today. I had powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and yogurt, I feel tired and hungry.

today was day 1 of 2 week preop. 2 Protein shakes and a small meal.

OMG! I was so very hungry all day! I hope I can continue this. Good news, my blood sugar was 106 tonight, thats the lowest it has been in months.

I am 6 months from surgery. I have 6 months of nutritional counseling to do. I am excited and nervous about starting the journey. But I have a great physician, and I am looking for the woman I ate (doubled my size) to leave me!!!

My pre op diet consisted of a shake up to 5 times a day, SF jello, chicken broth, crystal light, decaf tea/coffee for 2 weeks. The day before surgery clear liquids.
