Now I'm really worried.

Recommended Posts

I posted a few days ago about not having seen Tired_Old_Man around. He still hasn't been back since then. I am getting really worried about him. He's not missed this many days since I've been on here. He's not posted since the 27th, and he his account hasn't had any activity since the 29th.

Its not all too uncommon for someone to get busy with their lives. I'm sure he'll be back soon. Try not to worry.

His wife's b'day was at the end of the month. She didn't want to Celebrate it. Her mother has alzeheimer's and was in a facility in NY. She went there, but was going to be back for her b'day. While she was gone he got some disturbing medical news. He was going to have to have more tests, but I believe they thought he had MS. There is a whole thread on it starting around mid March.

I know that his wife becomes frustrated with his on-line activities and that she has been very tense lately what with her mother's poor health and her upcoming 60th birthday. He is probably focussing all of his attentions on her and their granddaughter at the moment. I believe that he is Okay and that he will soon be back. As for his own health issues, I am under the impression that the diagnosis is still up in the air....?

Hi, It is not unusual for people to want to take a break from posting. Our lives get busy sometimes. If it does turn out he has MS there are a number of us on this board, myself included ,that have the disease that can offer a lot of support and advice to him about it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
