May 2014 Sleevers

  • Popular Post

I finally got my insurance approval this week and my surgery is scheduled for May 20. If seems SO far away but hoping the time will fly by. I've been trying to adapt my diet to more like it will need to be post-op but find myself eating horribly about once a week. I think it's the food funerals starting. I did really well during the week and had lost 2 pounds this week and then last night after work ate whatever I wanted (it wasn't good). Are others going they this same struggle?

Would love to find people who are anxiously awaiting their May surgery dates and be here to provide support for each other as we start this journey to change our lives!

I licked the salt of a chip and it broke in my mouth. ...never again will i do it.

Same here. I had mine on the 7th. Still having a hard time with protein but I hate that stuff.

Mine was May 12th also. I lost 17 on the pre-op diet but I'm waiting to get on the scale until my post-op appointment. I'm feeling pretty blessed. Not much pain or discomfort. No nausea. I'm able to get my fluids in. Haven't hit my protein but I'm coming pretty close. Looking forward to this new life!

Lol, I though doing that.

I'm sleeved! Very tired and in pain. Lots of meds but feeling better each hour. Mouth so dry I can't explain it, walking feels fine

I'm surprised

I am happy for you

I chewed and spit a coconut candy in Mexico lol then I felt bad because the poor vendor thought I didn't like it. I ended up buying a case for my coworkers haha

7 days post op today and seeing DR this afternoon. Been terrified to look in my belly button. All other incisions look minimal but I haven't removed the surgical tape.getting all proteins in,a little short on water though. Still gassy :P

MB- congrats and keep up the walking, it definitely helps. Dry mouth is the worst! My tongue felt like a lizard skin! Ice chips. Gets better everyday!

Lol! It must have been so good though!

It was okay - lol too sweet haha

Starting my liquid diet this Friday. Supposed to start tomorrow but im traveling for business with no fridge in my room and no grocery store that I've seen in this city that carries what I need so my pre-op diet will stop late and I'll have to make sure there are no mistakes during my week, instead of 10 days, of liquids.

Surgery is 5-29 and it seems weird to be so nervous when I've been working towards this goal for the past 7 months. I'm trying to imagine this new world of liquids and mushy foods but even though I've read posts and books and thought I had the information I needed, suddenly my mind is blank. I'm like, wait, is my surgery in 9 days?!

Holla! Got my shake down before 9am with 30 protein under my belt, gonna be a better day. Starting stage 2 today, kind of scary.

It's wonderful, soft scrambled eggs! Yummy..
