A favorite item that you could do without

What is the one thing that you bought before or after surgery that you could not live without? I am referring to a gadget or gizmo that just makes this journey easier? Just curious...

My food scale. I measure everything. My fitbit. It keeps me moving even on lazy days. Gotta get those 10k steps in!

  • A coffee cup warmer/plate thing. In the beginning I ate so slow things would become cold fast so it was great. I still use it everyday to keep my tea warm.

  • My computer and this forum...can't imagine what it would have been like without it.

Several things stand out.

1. My spiralizer (makes veggies into noodles)

2. My many Water bottles

3. YouTube (for the many food ideas)

4. My measuring cups and scale

5. I wish I had an amazing blender. Bullets and regular blenders are not powerful enough to make a good smoothie

6. My measuring tape (for depressing days when I think I have not lost anything, my tape always tells me otherwise)

7. My food processor (allows me to use whole vegetables and fruits to make my own sauces I.e Kale pesto)

8. Did I mention my awesome spiralizer lol

9. My mandoline (for slicing veggies)

10. My spray container for oil. I am very oil sensitive and the sprayer makes it easy to only use a little bit (like a Pam spray but I add my own oil to the container, pump and spray)

And that spiralizer..... haha I am being so silly tonight LOL (I just got it recently and it is my culinary staple!)

Bella cucina blender and Lap Band talk. I really benefited from reading post of Carolina Girl,Missy, B52, Joanne, Jim, 2muchfun, without this forum, I would have been very isolated. While the doc was my final answer, you all have helped more than you know. Many Thanks!
