Pre op diet

Hi I am in day 4 of my pre op diet. I am scheduled feb 10th for my gastric sleeve. I am wondering if there are some filling recipes anyone has found for the pre op. I'm starving!

What I learned 2 months ago prior to surgery is that it is feast or famine with the surgeons for everyone here, either you eat normally, that is no diet, eat moderately, or eat sparingly with much res

I keep trying to just look at one day at a time instead of me having 10 days left. : ( I have to keep my mind busy or I'm miserable. I was home sick today so it hasn't been easy. If I could just sleep for the next 10 days that'd be great lol. I'm from tx. Using a surgeon out of Dallas. U?

Who is your surgeon? Mine is Bridget Holden from Kim Bariatrics. I will start my pre-op diet April 10....protein shakes for 2 weeks :)

Thanks to the feedback and support. I made it through the weekend with the pre op liquid diet!! Thank goodness I took up knitting, helps keep my hands and mind busy and not on food.

OMG I went to the movies tonight and was so surprised! I was able to eat about one cup of popcorn well chewed of course! When I read your post i laughed

How far post op are u?

I am one month out but i am so surprised I have not had any trouble eating or drinking obviously i get full with a certain amount of food but i think it is all a blessing

Thank God this stall is over. I'm down 3 lbs since Sunday! Hopefully I'll lose 15-20 before the next stall!

Yay Heather!!

Does anyone else have probs still with very little energy? I have bursts of energy and then it drains quick and I just feel exhausted and want to sleep.

5 weeks out yesterday and feel tired almost all the time

How much have u lost?

43 pounds since I started. 25 since surgery on feb 18. I had a pretty good stall that I think I broke as I'm a pound down today.

As for energy, my doc says the first 3 months can be tiresome. That it'll come back as my body adjusts to the fewer calories.

Hi! I also have been totally exhausted since my surgery on Feb 3. I agree it's because so few calories are going in. And it must really wear on your system to consistently shed this much weight. I'm so happy with the 35 I've lost, with a few stalls included in that. I think all we can do is keep up with the vitamins and supplements, get your water in, get your protein in, and rest extra if you need to. I feel less tired more recently, so I do think we adjust to this eventually. Happy losing!!!!
