Struggling to find right bra

Recommended Posts

According to studies about 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. I, being a very large breasted woman (34H) know this all too well.

I have a couple places i go to that are a couple hours away from me. But so worth the drive. When i wear the wrong size i can always tell... My back is in terrible pain.

I have been fitted a couple different ways. One place measures around the under of my breast... if you are an even number (36) add 4 = your band size would be a 40..... If odd (33) add 5 = 38 band size.... it should fit snug.

One fitted me by going across my breast and subtracted the band size from the across the boob size . I have an 8" difference... 8 alphabet down is H.... If you were 6" diff. you would be an F... 4" diff. you would be D.... and so on.

The other measures from the underneath the boob coming up to the nipple... same thing... each inch is a cup.

My best recommendation is to find a local boutique and have them fit you properly.... After i get my correct fit i then go to this site that YESSSSS it's in the UK... but i have never had any issues with orders with them. They sell bras and swim suits by the bra size....i have bought tons of stuff and the prices are much better than in a local store. www.belle-lingerie.com

I actually got measured @ Dillard's on Sunday, I had no idea what size I was, I have a drawer full of bras that don't fit . I used to wear a 42 D, I thought I was 38 C but nope I was a 34 D.. she brought me a Waacol bra and I'm telling you it was the most comfortable bra I have ever worn, in fact I wore it out of the store, my girls were where they should be and even though they are expensive $60 I bought two.. Getting a professional fitting is the answer.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
