I met with my doc and had the info session last week. We scheduled my appointment with the surgeon for Feb 4th. I will finish my required 3 month diet and behavior modification program the end of January. After the appointment on the 4th they willsubmit for insurance and I hope to be under the knife on Feb. 20th. Can't wait

I am also hoping to be a February surgery. I will be done with my 6 months in January then submitting to the insurance afterwards.

It's been a long process but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hoping for a February surgery as well. I'll be done with my 6 month program on December 9th. I have everything done but I had an abnormal ekg so I need to be cleared by a cardiologist and that appt is December 10. So as long as all goes well, ill hopefully see the surgeon in January and be under the knife in February. Fingers crossed. I'm so ready for this!!!

My last appt is jan 21. I'm hoping for a mid feb surgery date

I have an app on Wednesday and last app on jan 8. Hoping for February 10 surgery!! So excited! Been a long six months but it finally seems very close.

I'm glad this thread was started!!

I started my process last month November and have my nutritionist appointment on the 23rd I am hoping and praying for a February date! Or maybe beginning of March the latest...

I began my 3 month supervised diet in October. Have appt with Cardiologist this morning but no psych appt until January 23. Earliest they could get me in. Hope to have surgery by the end of February. Fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone!

I started my process in September but had to restart in October because my insurance (Tricare) gave me a referral to a different surgeon than the one I originally selected. I met with the surgeon on the 5th of November and I am currently going through ALL the clearances. I have completed the lab work, chest xray, and ultrasound of my gallbladder (which showed gallbaldder disease). I went to the cardiologist last week and he said my ekg looked great, but he still wanted to do an echo stress test which is this wednesday. I go to the pulmonologist tomorrow and the gastroenterologist the 6th of January and the phsychologist on the 9th of January. I am hoping that all my clearances will be completed and to my surgeons office by mid January and I can get my surgery in early February. I am so ready to start my new life.

Good luck to everyone!!

I'm February 11th. It has been a long road but I am excited to be almost there.

Hey I am hoping for a February date, I started in beginning of November... I wanted to know roughly about how long were your process before getting a date? I know everyone is different but I just wanted to round it off....

I went through a 6 month program per insurance. Surgeons office scheduled ALL of my appointments on the first one. Last week I realized surgery was scheduled for Feb 10 but decided to changed it to Feb 6. My last appointment is jan 8 then they r giving insurance 2 weeks for approval. Jan 22 I should start liquid diet.

I am hoping to have surgery in February 2014. I am so happy and excited about this journey. I wish u all good luck on your journey.

Good luck with your surgery Cherryhair. I am hoping to have my surgery about 2 weeks after your surgery. It will be nice to talk to someone who is going through the process at the same time.

So has it hit you guys yet?

My friend just asked if I was anxious and I'm surprisingly calm. But of course it hasn't hit me. Surgery day will be here before we know it :)

I am nervous and excited at the same time. I can't even imagine how I will feel when it gets closer to my surgery date. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow. I hope to find out my actual date for surgery. You are right it will be here before we know it.
