Hello Everyone :0)

I Read Up On Lapband And Have Now Decided It Maybe For Me. Looks Like It's 99.9% Risk Free...i Go To My Seminar On April 19th...i Was Been Supposed To Attend But They Kept Canceling It. I Was Expecting To Be Banded By The Summer...hopefully I Will. I Know I Wont Reach My Goal Weight This Summer But Next Summer Hopefully I Can Be Rockin. I Am Concered About Scars...i Have Light stretch marks Already But I Dont Want A Major Scar Like Gastric Bypass.

Pray For Me Everyone....lets Hope This Is The Answer To My Prayers Of 20yrs...i'm Tired Of Being The Laughing Stalk Or Outcast When I Go Places. I Want To Be Happy And Look Normal. Of Course Like Many Of You Here I Tried All The Prgrams..atkins Was My Most Successful To Date But Im Tired Of The Slowwww Progression And Eating The Samethings. There Is One Person Who Thinks I Should Stay 454 Pounds...got To Be Kidding Right? This Person Tries To Tell Me I Can Be Big And Healthy....enough Is Enough.

Wish Me Luck!

Your story is heartbreakng. Here is a place to get answers, advice, moral support and gut checks whenever you need it!

May you find what you need, and if you decide to do this we are here for you- everyone is terrific!

Good luck. It's been the best for me but I am rather new. Maybe you should chat with some of the folks that have experienced this from the

higher BMI's. Just ask, they'll answer!

GOOD LUCK

Kim

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
