So...its going on 6 wks post op and i have totally stalled!! what am i to do?? I'm becoming super discouraged now. Even when i went

for my follow up visit to the dr he made no mention of a stall being normal and expected/expects me to lose more weight. i read that

perhaps adding calories and/or changing up meals may help. i'm inclined to believe that as last week i indulged in 3 glasses of wine and

meat from a cheese steak and woke up 3lbs lighter!! (Finally, i saw movement!!!) I would like to know if i could get healthy meal ideas to switch up and add to confuse my body's metabolism to jump start my loss again. Just to add, i have been spinning, doing some strength trng and of drink plenty of Water all day long. i'm doing about 700-900 calories a day. my nut put me up to 800-1000 when i went to my follow up visit.

6 weeks post op? How'd that cheese steak meat go down, lol? At 6 weeks I couldn't tolerate anything like that. Good for you.

Of course stalls are normal. Weight loss, especially as you get further out, is a journey of fits and spurts. Changing up the diet and the exercise routine is the best you can do and I promise as long as you are sticking to your calorie goals the scale will move again. I cut out all the unnecessary Snacks and crap that slowly crept back up into my diet and am eating very high carb (85-100g a day). I have also been busting my butt at the gym every day. Finally the scale budged after 2 weeks from 191 to 189 this morning.

Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
