I dont know if this helps, but I had my cycle a week before surgery. I thought that was great so while I'm healing, I wouldn't have to bother with it......them bam!! Second day post-op it came again, for 7 days strong, then 3 1/2 weeks later here we go again. Im 5 weeks out....I've read that its hormones getting back in order. Im 31, married and no kids and before surgery I had my period every 45 days or so and now I think its getting regular again. I had regular periods up until I gained alot of weight in my early 20's and that weight and irregular periods caused fertility issues. My doc couldn't find any underlying cause to my fertility issues besides my weight and absence of period and believe you me, I took just about every test out there! So now with the weight loss and being regular my chances increase.

I also had my cycle a week before surgery, then my cycle came as scheduled but was shorter and lighter! I hope that continues... I'm only 1 month out so I don't have a pattern to share...

Yes I had my cycle tow days after surgery and then the following month I was 14 days late. I had never been late ever in my life I can set a watch to it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
