How Much Did You Lose?

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm only 11 days out, but I've lost 12 pounds according to my scale since my surgery date, but it may be off a pound or two, since that's two different scales and two different outfits. I don't think the numbers much matter as long as it's a loss, you know? I'm happy. :)

I also have never had a fill. November 6 I wil have been banded 1 year. I reached my goal of 145 in 7 months. But I continued to loose another 10 and then my weight lose just stopped. I started out at 215 so I have lost 80 lbs. My weight fluctuates from 130 to 135. Feel great. Love my lap band with plication. Good luck to everyone on this site.

i think my band is working fine with no fills (i have a primer but no idea how much) but i also

have plication...so the band can work w/o fills........and i dont diet :)

Carolina Girl,

Your anotomany is different from us regular bandsters, you are sort of like a Sleeve, (just folding the stomach) but without removing the stomach, so your restriction will be VERY tight from the git-go....

I have not read much long term research on Pilications, there were some mixed reviews on it initially, but it seems like more and more people are getting it, it's good to hear you are doing so well with it.

Two weeks post-op today, down 33lbs. I know it won't always be this way, but pretty cool way to start.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
