Is it too early to start an April thread? I didn't see one yet.

I'm scheduled for April 22. I still have to finish PCP clearance and psych then insurance approval but don't anticipate any problems. Once I started my appointments the excitement and anxiety kicked in. I started 6 month supervised diet in August....this used to seem so far away and like a vague idea but its so real now. My anxiety is double as my husband's date is march 18 and I worry a lot more about him than myself. How are all the other April folks doing?

I havent been put on a liquid diet or anything as of yet i dont go to the dr until the 9th and my surgery is the 16th so on monday the 1st im gonna go on my own version of everyones diet no carbs and 2 shakes a day and im gonna attempt to eliminate coffee ahhhhh.....also wanted to ask everyone how much protein is in your shakes? I always have used EAS advantedge and its 17g but i see some of you post more is that a switch from lapband requirements?

My Syntrax Shakes have 23g of protein, but I chose them because I like the taste. My doc is okay with EAS shakes too--whichever I can tolerate that is low carb. His requirement is that the shake has to have 100 calories or less for every 20 grams of protein, 5-10g sugar or less and 3-5 g fat or less.I think EAS has different formulas--the whey protein powder has 23 gram protein and 120 calories per scoop.

Day 8 of liquid diet. I'm hanging in there and luckily I do not have to cook for my family. They are very supportive and thats been a huge help. My son did liquid diet with me for 4 days...very sweet guy! Surgery is April 9! please add me to the list! I had to have an IVC filter inserted on Wednesday to prevent problems from blood clots. I developed a clot in my brain during chemo for breast cancer in 2006 and don't want a pulmonary embolism. I am ready to go and I have really appreciated reading about everyone's journey.
