  1. Thanks, Dorian! I'm pretty quiet on here...but still following along. Sorry about the pain but hang in there. You have made a huge accomplishment despite the struggle if chronic pain. Be proud!
  2. SD 4/22/14 Height 5' 4" HW 271 CW 153 Loss =118 Size 22/24 to a 10....(an 8 soon I think!)
  3. 2 flintstones, calcium citrate chews, and B12. Labs have been perfect.
  4. My doc gives a very specific week by week list of what you can have for the first 7 weeks post op. that helped me get past the grief. Like detox
  5. I eat all those things. None in excess and none everyday. Your feelings and outlook on food will change. Pre-op I was fearing this loss of food like you are. There are things I miss bring able to eat in quantity but only slightly. Feeling good, looking good, and being 110 pounds lighter is worth it.
  6. Dorian - today I found raspberry chocolate

  8. I do them and so does my husband - both RNY-ers. You have to be careful with the sodium and carbs in them. Most if them are very carb heavy. I can only eat a couple different ones with lower carbs. I do ok with the turkey tenderloins and green beans. We only use them for quick lunches when we can't get something a bit healthier together.
  9. Top of my head: Shrimp Cocktail sauce Raw veggies Hummus Almonds Bran sesame sticks Cottage cheese Nectarines (when in season) Skinny fruits Lean cuisines (for DH) Beans, beef or pork, and canned tomatoes for quick chili Flat outs, pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings for our version of pizza Cheese sticks
  10. I found the bear naked granola you posted at target today. As well as your yogurt. I bought the cherry chocolate flavor. I plan for it to be my evening snack to deal with the snackiness I'm battling. Thanks for the recommendation.
  11. What yogurts are you all eating? They all seem to have so much sugar and/or carbs and I dump. I've been thinking about it with granola since Dorian's post! :-)

  13. B12, multis, and calcium for life. The doc will add and subtract as needed per your lab work. So, I add extra D. At one point I also took B-complex until my blood work said I didn't need it anymore. My husband took iron for a while. BTW - I take B12 daily in sublingual form. Now.....how about this 2 month stall? Frustrating! I need to get back into regular exercise. I've tried all the tricks with no success. Must be the exercise. I've gotten off my evening post xmas snacking jag, increased water, etc. And....has anyone been freaked out by being able to eat much more food now? I know it's a lot less than "regular" people but it still scares me. I'm finding if I do straight water all day instead of Crystal lite I don't have such an urge to snack at night.
  14. Sounds like we are all in the same boat. Sorry several Of us are struggling but happy I'm not alone. I went a little crazy over Xmas. Broke all sorts of rule. I've been working to be back on track and doing ok with that but still just want to eat and eat. And it seems I'm able to eat much larger quantities! Scares the hell out of me!! The scale is not moving even when I'm doing everything that would have worked before. How to get back in charge and the scale moving??!!
  15. Dr Graber through st joes is one of the best in the state. The st joes team in the office and in the hospital was wonderful! Great aftercare too!

  17. Size 10 skinny jeans a mad knee high boots! Never have been able to wear either before let alone in a size 10
  18. Yep.....I cried in the mall today. I bought size 10 SKINNY jeans. I still have muscular calves but never ever could I have worn them before , let alone in a size 10!! Pre op I would think it would be a rather large miracle to get to a size 10. (Pre op i was in a 22.) And I was able to buy knee high boots to wear with them!! A look that i have always envied on others. Today was a good day. Happy Holidays Everyone! Surgery 4/22/13. Down 108 lbs.
  19. I've lost 100 pounds as of this morning!! I cant believe it. How should I celebrate????
  20. Rotisserie chicken and acorn squash. So simple but delicious.
  21. I've have this problem with left over roasts, too. I chop them up and make them into chili. Especially pork roast. Works out great! And no waste. I will freeze the chili in small portions as well. Just an idea for you.
  22. Just had my 6 month follow up. Overall I am doing well and slightly ahead of schedule as far as weight loss. Every morning I have cottage cheese topped with fruit and almonds for breakfast and I love it. My doc said it is fine for now but as time goes on the mushy foods will not keep me full. I love the taste and how quick and easy it is but I need new ideas now. I'm know I will not be making myself eggs in the morning. Smoothies and protein shakes re not okay either. . Any ideas????? I appreciate it.
