  1. Hit 85 pounds lost today!
  2. No I don't. Sorry. I don't count anything I just make good healthy choices. That's per my doctor's instructions, which I'm very happy with! :-). It's working. I'm sure you could figure out the nutrition using a food logging program.
  3. Pumpkin chili and sugar free apple crisp. So good! I love fall.

You're welcome. His focus is in real life and rest of your life eating. Carbs are a necessity for body functioning. Too much is the problem. Be smart, focus on Protein and healthy choices and you will be fine. A cracker or two will not derail you. Going to extremes got us into this in the first place and exactly what Graber is wanting us to avoid. Everyone's doctor is different too by the way. For example, there are many on here that eat Soup and drink Protein shakes...things we are discouraged from doing. Focus on the directions you are given and you'll be fine. And to answer your question, I live in the Syracuse area. Good luck! You're doing great.

Tina727 is doing great. The doctors plan is great. He has done over 5000 surgeries and knows what he is doing. He focuses first on healing you and your pouch. He then wants you to focus on smart choices and nutrition without stressing out too much about counting. With this doctor and his plan I have lost 80 pounds in less than 5 months and my husband has lost over 100 in 6 months. After care is wonderful as well. Our levels are all great. And no complications. Nice work Tina!
  6. So I read daily but don't say much...I'm grateful to check in with you all. Helps my experience. So.....milestone today! I am now 75 pounds down from my highest which is 70 down from surgery on 4/22. I am now comfortable to say I'm in ONEderland!!!!! I wanted to hit 196 before I said it so there wasn't much chance of leaving it. But I'm here!!
  7. Try heating the Quest bars for 15 seconds. Much better. Everyday I have cottage cheese with chopped nectarines and slivered almonds on top. 15 grams of Protein.
  8. Syracuse. Almost 4 months post op. 34 years old and down 71 pounds. Where are you?
  9. I make flat bread pizza using half of a Flatout. Works great.
  10. I'm sorry. Maybe I'm dense....what are the differences for working out for RNY patients? I'm curious...I've just started hitting the gym and didn't consider it may be different. Thanks!
  11. I did. Actually had my 3 month follow up at the office today. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about him, Dr Hill, and the whole staff. My husband and I are both having success and doing very well. They have been incredibly responsive To anything we need.
  12. Go bypass with diabetes. My husband was on 7 pills a day to treat it. He was sent home from the hospital with no meds for diabetes. In less than 3 months he was diagnosed no longer diabetic with an A1C of 6. Best decision ever for us. Good luck.
  13. I drink it often as well. I brew my own with teabags....so cheap that way. I drink it (decaf if course) plain or with a little lemonade flavor crystal lite. I like the Torani idea. Don't have peach but I'll try raspberry. Thanks for the tip!
  14. Shrimp and raw veggie dippers with lemon dill hummus
  15. I made it to 50 pounds today! 51 actually. It was my first goal that I set to meet. What a relief ...the last 2-3 weeks I was only losing about a pound a week. I was worried that it wouldn't pick up again. I want to start working out but I'm in pain. My doc says my back and hip pain is due to my body readjusting to how it carries itself. Once I can work out I hope to pick up the weight loss pace again. Has this pain been a problem for anyone else? Surgery date - 4/22/13
  16. I just made lemon poppy protein muffins from the worldaccordingtoeggface.com. She has a big variety if them. Texture was a little different but the taste was great.
  17. My husband did it 5 weeks before I did. The only caution I have to give you....men lose weight a lot faster than women. I have to be careful not to get frustrated when watching his losses. He is down about 80 pounds and I'm down about 50. He is only about 10 or so pounds away from goal and i still have about 70 to go. He did his 3/18/13 and I did it 4/22/13. I think it is best we did it together. We would not have been successful otherwise. We relate to what each other is going through, remind each other to stay on track, and approach challenges as a team. I hope it goes as well for you and your husband as it did for us.
  18. So frustrated! Tomorrow is 7 weeks. I tried to help my husband with yard work. After an hour of low impact work I've had to go inside and lay down. He gets it but frustrating for him too. We are in the middle of a big project.
  19. I was allowed toast after 2 weeks and soft breads after 6 weeks.

I'm allowed to start trying sandwiches and deli meat. What do you all think about Arby's roast beef as an option?
