Is it too early to start an April thread? I didn't see one yet.

I'm scheduled for April 22. I still have to finish PCP clearance and psych then insurance approval but don't anticipate any problems. Once I started my appointments the excitement and anxiety kicked in. I started 6 month supervised diet in August....this used to seem so far away and like a vague idea but its so real now. My anxiety is double as my husband's date is march 18 and I worry a lot more about him than myself. How are all the other April folks doing?

Had my pre op appointment today with my surgeon. Super excited and scared about the Lovenox injections I have to do... Pre op class with the RN Manager and pre admissions at the hospital tomorrow!

What is lovenox?

It is a series of shots given to patients who test positive for the MTHFR clotting disorder. It helps reduce the risk of blood clots during and after surgery. I never knew I had this until I went through this journey! Thankfully the doctor found it and can treat it. Along with other things they found while doing all the testing and studies. It is something that I should have been treating all along when I have surgeries. My surgeon saved my life by finding this!
