Not sure what to expect!

So...can someone explain in full detail what it feels like to be full with your new pouch? How do you know? How many bites can you eat? I'm only a few days post-op but already dreaming of solid food stage in a few weeks lol

My signal is burping or a hiccup

You wont feel that feeling for a few weeks till the nerve endings heal

Same here. I hiccup even when I drink too fast. You just have to eat slow and listen to your body.

i get the hiccups too, isn't it funny that's our new signal?

It's hard to explain to people how you get full off so little, but trust me you'll know when you're there. It takes a lot longer for the mental connection to occur...at least for me.

Wow I was thinking that today too, my surgery was wed and I was discharged yesterday. I've been drinking Protein shakes, chicken broth and fat free pudding, I can't wait to eat solids!!!!!!

When I had the surgery I always get full for about 4 months. It was really hard to eat or drink. Now at 7 months full feels like a stomach ache with lots of pressure.

I wonder if this is what my pain is that my stomach is finally healed and the nerve endings are working now.

I am 20 days post op, i am on soft food, i can tell i am full when my chest fills pressure, i think my pouch is right there close to the breast bone and when its full i feel pressure i have to stretch a little bit and burp. I have yet to throw up even once dont really get nauseous except when i smell the protein shakes. Which erks me

How about when you were liquids only . All I can feel is the gas pressure still from surgery.

It's a real concern of mine! I son't want to stretch my pouch unintentionally. I think I will try measuring food.
