The Scale!

Someone needs to come pick up my scale!! I'm only 9 days post op and I keep weighing myself!! I like what I'm seeing, but I don't want to be a person that needs to see the numbers. I haven't seen my surgeon yet and I'm not sure how off my scale is compared to his and I don't want to set myself up for disappointment either... That's my rant for the day..lol

I learned a long time ago that if I don't weigh everyday I get way to lax in my eating. I have kept it to once a day.

I agree...me to...

Just be careful the way you think about the numbers you are looking at by constantly weighing yourself. When it doesn't change the way you want it to we tend to seek out ways to comfort ourselves, and I know for me it was food. My wife and I are diligent to only weigh in once a week. It can be hard but this new lifestyle is all about discipline, and in more than one area.

I weight my self once a week. I think I will threw away the scale & only weight my self when I see the dietician or surgeon. Lolz I'll take the scale to the basement. I hate stalls & it just makes me mad so why put my self threw that.

This is so so true! We (or I) do seek gratification daily.. I do weigh everyday and need to quit!! I am 12 weeks out and the weight loss has slowed down. At the beginning I was seeing almost a pound a day. Now when the scale doesn't move I wonder what I did wrong. I really need to change the way I think! My weight loss had to slow down, so I need to just weigh once a week and be good with that!

Its a mind over matter way of thinking! And the scale can cause great frustration!

I guess because I'm still so new at this, I want to see the numbers every day... I feel like I'm not losing fast enough.... I don't want to start putting that pressure on myself...

There is nothing wrong with weighing every day. I weigh just about every time I go in the bathroom. But I am not stressed about losing or not because I know as long as I follow the rules the weight will come off.

I agree with worm. I weigh daily every morning as soon as I get up for consistency. It helps keep me focused on my goals. Also lets me know if something is going on and I need to change things up. Once I went out of town for a week and when I came back I was 4 pounds heavier! Not sure how that happened but I know as long as Im weighing, Im losing weight.

I'm only down 13lbs as of today :c I was hoping for bigger numbers!

You won't see bigger numbers till you eat more calories and definitely 64+ ounces of fluid a day
