4 Years Post-Op

Good Day fellow members.

I'm from Windsor, Canada. I started my journey at 350lbs. I am almost 4 years post-op and RNY has been the best decision of my life.

I have found that there is some loss. I take meds for a back issue i have. The effects of the meds dont last as long but you learn your body and you learn how to accomadate. Its nothing that would stop me from ever having this surgery. You have to adjust your meds accordingly. Talk to your surgeon about it. Also, a person 1/2 the weight will need less dosage. So you will have to adjust your meds as you shrink down.

Wow. That's amazing. I am having bypass jan 21/14 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Start my 3 week optifast on New Year's Eve. Was it really difficult to do the preop diet?

I was lucky n only had to do a high protein diet wen I had mine 4mths ago.

WOW Weeee! Wonderful, just wonderful! Thanks for sharing such a motivating testimony!

Wow amazing! Great job! I start my journey Jan 20th. I love reading success stories. I hate exercise but I know it will have to part of my life! I live in cold cold Manitoba so getting out to walk is a real challenge! I do love skating and tobogganing and my husband really wants me back on cross country skies even though I suck! I will be having open surgery because of scar tissue so getting back on skates this winter does not look promising :(. Thanks for sharing your story.

I bet even with an open incision and the extra recovery time you still recommend the surgery and have no regrets. You will live a longer and healthier life. COngrats
