I was nervous to go home myself all I had to do was push a button and somebody was at my beckon call but once I got home I was very glad to see my daughter and my wife has taken amazing care of me so all was well

My husband is eight days too. We don't have a " planned diet ". We only have guidelines to follow. I would just think after two cups of soup and a cup of skim milk he should be full. You think he should go to soft diet?

Is that one meal or the whole day?

I just want some normalcy

:-) Dec 15th New me and life begins ;-)

About week 3 it will start to feel that way,

So just got out of the doc office and he removed my drainage port and gave me a refill on my pain meds hes saying that everything is going great better than he expected with my complication during surgery so thats good news and finally got approval to eat full liquids and purred food that and I have lost all my weight I gained in the hospital plus some so I have lost a total of 61 lbs

There is absolutely no way I could get that in one meal. It's taking me 4 hours to finish an 8 oz shake right now.

That was one meal

that is way too much food. his pouch was resized to hold only 2 ounces. that is why it is very important for us to measure our food. he definitely can stretch his pouch. also. up until 4-6 weeks the nerve endings in his stomach is not working yet that is why he doesn't feel full and again important to measure his foods.

Has anyones inactive stomach been growling....oh its such a wierd feeling because before it was always followed by hunger pains and it is in a completely different place than what I thought lol, its like my lower rib is growing. Just wanted to throw that out there lol.

Also not to scare you but I had a friend that had a sleeve, he drank a diet sprite as soon as he got home, it expanded his stomach, tore his suture lines, and caused a massive leak. He almost died and was in ICU for a month on IV antibiotics. So it is vitally important to measure and follow post op rules, it could be a life or death situation.

I made it too. I come home tomorrow. Yippee.

Nicole so happy to hear from you. Now let them nurses pamper you today. I hope you are feeling better every hour. You will be glad to be home. Doing a Happy Dance and have a very big smile on my face that you are ok and nearly home.

That is some scary stuff right there. Oh man he is very lucky to be alive. the rules may not always make sense to us but they are there for a reason.

Hey' date=' kinda concerned over here. Anyone else have bruising around the incision sites? I have it around a few of them and one of them is really bad. I was thinking it was from the lovenox but don't wanna let it go if it's something I should be worried about.[/quote']

I am bruised all over my abdomen at all incision sites and beyond.
