I'm home and hurting.

Im hurting too and the pain medication is making me a lil whoozy to my stomach ughh.

Great havent taken pain meds all day I can now get on one knee to pick up something I dropped havent really had any pain all day took a nice long afternoon nap in bed had some great chicken broth for dinner and my chewable vitamins went down well still have yet to feel any semblance of nausea and so far the eagles haven't totally blown this game all in all a good day haha

I had to come home with a catheter because my bladder still hasnt woken up from my anesthesia

And I'm sure there are those struggling and hating me for how easy it's going for me but I also hope I'm inspiring some of the up and comers that its not really that bad is totally do it again

Praying yall stop hurting. What type of pain pills do. They give you? Are you able to swallow them? Or chew them up?

They gave me Percocet and I was a little wary of swallowing them so I crushed them between 2 spoons and mixed them with whatever I was drinking in the small cups

I also open the capsules of my omeprazole and take the pellets with a spoonful of jello they told me not to bite the pellets or they won't work

I'm still in the hospital, hoping to go home tomorrow. Great news is that I just passed gas finally!!! Yes I called my husband and mom to relay the good news... I think they're STILL laughing lol!

I was given liquid acetaminophen/hydrocodone.

My surgery went great I did not need my pain killer meds at all, just came home tonight, had surgery on Monday, my only problem was drinking those damn 4 Oz of water, kind of hard with I.V. breathe, yuck...hated it..

I had my surgery on the 10th... I am in pain... Most of the time it's not bad but ohhh man I woke up with awful pain right now and I hate the loritab taste :( how long until people started feeling better?? This is my first surgery ever so I really didn't know what I was getting myself into... I still cry and wish I could have been successful losing weight without surgery hopefully soon ill feel better and be glad for what I've just done

I also had surgery on the 10th, yes it hurts so bad when you first wake up. They gave me Roxicet (liquid Percocet) and it isnt the best tating stuff...but it takes care of the pain. Abdominal surgery hurts, it really does, especially for women. I had 3 csections on top of this RNY and so far the csections are worse but this is no cake walk. I had to go home with a catheter for a week, and I have never had reactions to anesthesia like this before. I am going 8 hours in between doses of pain medication which is soooo much of an improvement. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Itching!!!!!!! Omg! My belly itches so bad around all my incisions. Does anyone else have this? I've been putting on lotion but it's not helping. Maybe I need an anti-itching one?

Do you have glue closing incisions? Your may be allergic to it if you do. Call doctor!

I also open the capsules of my omeprazole and take the pellets with a spoonful of jello they told me not to bite the pellets or they won't work

I am able to swallow my Nexium whole without any problems.

My doctor also gave me a abdominal binder and it helps sooooo much when walking, cough/deep breathing, and using my incentive spirometer. Walking helps so much!!! My doctor gave me a leg bag for my catheter so its not noticable while Im in the public. I slept 8 hours straight last night (oh it felt so good) I havent tried to conquer our stairs in our house...slept in our recliner but it was so much better than getting woke up all the time by vital signs and assessments!!! So glad Im home sweet home! Thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers!!
