December 2012 Post Op Group

Recommended Posts

Today is my 3 month surgerversary! I'm down 55 lbs since surgery and 65 lbs total.

First picture is day of surgery and the other is today. I'm wearing my 15 year old son's t-shirt. It fit! Yesss!

I find it amazing that our weight loss is the same. Congrats :-)

What is your end weight loss goal ladies and gents?

Mine is 135, 45lbs to go. It would be nice if I reached it by end of summer, counting in stalls and loss to slow some. But hopefully before that.

Thanks! I never really set a goal. I'm happy getting to wonderland first and then go from there. Maybe 160?

I didn't really set a goal either. I just decided to set one. I'm down to 180 now and thought, I should set one. I haven't been 180 in years (8 actually). after I had the twins, I lost the weight rather quickly. But the with the depression of losing one I gained and continued to. Back then I refused to get mental help. I'm so glad I am now. It has changed me for the better. I wished years ago I had started going. So that is weight gain story. Depression :-( it's a bugar and has bad side effects. Although one med they put me on I swear I gained so much weight within the 3 months I was on it. It actually took me to my highest weight ever, 271. I gained about 15lbs a month on it and I even gave up sugary products like Dr recommended but still had the horrible gain.

I'm still getting only between 500-700 calories a day though. What about you Nicole? My Nut said it is fine for me.

Shaunda that is awesome. I'm so proud of you. You have done absolutely great. May I ask you about how many calories you get a day? Keep up the awesome work. You are almost to onederland :-)

I'm so proud of everyone and how they are doing. Are there any regrets out there for the surgery? For those of us who are still posting, it seems like we are all very happy and content with our decision. I hope those that follow the thread and aren't posting are happy with their decision to have this surgery too.

Congrats to all of us December group for giving it our all and making out dreams come true for better health. My sleep apnea is gone :-) Cholesterol is back in normal range. My back issues have dramatically decreased. Honestly if I could get this damn divorce settled, I think my depression and anxiety would be dramatically reduced too. But within a month it will be over. Thank goodness.

Husband has not agreed with any type of settlement cuz he is now refusing to pay alimony, so we will have to go to court. He has also decided to become a deadbeat. I never thought I would say that of him. He stopped paying alimony (almost 2000 behind) and child support (to date 6750 behind). I want to thank you all who have been sympathetic and have listened to me about my ass or ex problems. I am more than willing to listen to any one on here to help you out if I can. So drop me a message if you don't want to post in open forum;-)

I suppose you can say I've turned into a lurker since I read the posts daily but rarely chime in. Life keeps me busy these days! I'm very proud of all of us not just for working our tool, but for using this forum as a support tool as well. I feel like I know all of you personally! Lol! My progress is going great. I had to stop tracking daily because I was becoming obsessed. I realize it's best for me to just live consiously and listen to my body rather than worry about numbers. I haven't had a stall since either! I can tell the days I don't eat right because I only lose ounces. Otherwise I'm losing about 3-4 a week. No complaints here!

Sw 309

Cw 252

My hw was right before liquids so it all counts to me. 65 lbs gone forever!!! <3

So today I thought I would try the chocolate Protein Shake again. I knew I wasn't going to be able to drink it as soon as I scooped it. The smell turned me off. Oh well, I said to myself I will drink it anyways. I was only able to take one drink and I was done. I'm so thankful for Syntrax Nectar.< /p>

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
