I need to find a new Protein Shake I can tolerate. I have been drinking the Premier Protein shakes from costco because they don't make me sick. Would anyone like to share what brand and type of Protein Shakes has worked for you? Maybe I can try them instead of drinking the same thing everyday.

I started GNC chocolate Carmel and chocolate supreme (maybe just chocolate for the second one)

I totally agree! Burping hurts more than passing gas...well to me anyway!

The doc said it sounds like I pulled a muscle. I'm not running any fever and I'm not expelling any blood of any kind. The pain isn't constant, but it's there. Ugh...I feel like such a dork....All this crying for a pulled muscle!

You can try this recipe with the vanilla premier Protein shake. Take brewed Decaf coffee and poor your shake into it. Shake real good and then pour over ice. I poor about 6 ounces over ice at a time. You can also add Peanut Butter to the chocolate one and blend with ice in blender

asking the december and january post-op groups: have any of you had trouble with bloody noses? i got one last night while getting sick and i've neever had one before.

i'd opened a can of low fat hormel turkey chili' date=' added a little greek yogurt and cheese to it, took about three bites and was immediately sick. i know i took the 1st two bites too quickly (i'd waited too long to eat and was hungry), i didn't chew it enough and paid for it. not much more than phlem, air and bubbles came up, but the runny nose started in instantly and so did the blood. it took a little longer to stop and i still have the runny nose. not sure if i'm fighting a cold or it's a sign of something else.

i've had turkey since surgery, beef and cheese as well. the only thing different was the greek yogurt. i'm not really questioning the food, it's more the bloody and runny nose.

-oh, it also started me on a stupid crying jag. felt like a big baby <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />[/quote']

I have had that happen to me. I think it is just pressure.

:) Gina Surgery date Dec. 10th :)

I should be able to leave tomorrow. Was supposed to today but they had to change pain Rx. Other wasn't helping the pain. Taking zolphram too cuz nausea overcomes me when I try to walk. Oh well it's over, now have to walk thru the pain when I can.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
