I do drink far free lactaid milk and love it.

I will just use the Unjury chocolate flavors i mix it with either the lactaid milk or with bottled Water. Today is 7 day post op. but i still feel so freaking fatigue. My upper part is good but feels like my legs just cant hold me up for long. I do walk not alot. I drink 2 20 oz of water a day. 6 scoops of the unjury protien. In either milk or water' date=' this is through the day. A Jello. Maybe a popsicle.

Hate not being able to get up and straighten up my house grrrr[/quote']

Awe! I feel you!! I didn't have a lot of pain with my surgery, more just discomfort. I stopped taking pain meds and would get up and go, but at first I couldn't go for long without needing a nap! Lol. Your body is doing a tremendous job or healing you and trying to get it's nutrients, etc. So, you NEED rest. Don't worry about the house! That mess will be there when you feel better guarantee it! Ahaha! And you'll get your strength back little by little as you are able to get more fluids and foods in. And guess what? I was just looking at my sunday coupons and it looks like yoplait makes a lactose free yogurt! Don't know the sugar content, but you can prob find out online. :)

Burping is some peoples full signal right after surgery. This is what I wen by because the nerve endings in the stomach isn't fully healed. So either a burp or hiccup can be a full signal

I've noticedy shoes are looser than normal too. I don't want to have to buy those til change of weather and winter is over :-)

Hippie Gal: after surgery I was weak too. I noticed more strain on my legs trying to go up stairs. I promise that will go away in time. Just make sure you get at least 60 oz in of liquids. By the way, that bruise, omg. It looks like the Dr tortured your poor stomach :-(

I never thought about mixing plain yogurt w the vanilla to bring down the carb count. Although the Danon lite n fit w 2x Protein only has 7 g sugar. Do you know how much the plain has?

I wear front closure sport bras due to cervical rods from C-2 to T1. Saving me some money overall.....

I'm so sorry. I was just chatting w a young lady that said hers closed off completely at 7 weeks and nothing would pass thru. Thank goodness yours was caught in time. When chatting (she's 5 months out) she said that she would definitely do it all over again now even though she had went thru so much, almost died, and another operation. I hope that gives you a little reassurance to how you might feel after you're all healed from this. Until then you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I can look when I get home from work, but it's plain Greek so it's much higher in protein.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
