Has anyone taken the medication on the do not take list like Advil or Motrin? I had severe migraines for over a week and had to take something. Now I have this horrible feeling in between my chest.

Oh I been thinking about this. I had a migraine a few days ago. It was one day before I had to stop taking them. I won't think one time would hurt but call your dr. Good luck and let us know.

I haven't taken any thing but Tylenol since my surgery. I would call your Dr. and make sure everything is ok. Then I would ask him if he can give you any thing to take when you do get one, or something to prevent them. I've had severe migraines all my life. I was on Inderal to prevent them for a few years and they just switched me to Verapamil because my Dr. said I had been on the Inderal for to long. I haven't had any since I've been on the Inderal and hopefully I won't get one with the switch. But I've noticed since the surgery when I do get a headache it's usually because i haven't drank enough water. So i start downing the water and take a couple of Tylenol and it goes away.

Thanks for the info. I'm allergic to Tylenol and I just started back taken my verapermil. I had trouble taken the whole pill and have to cut it into 1/4.

I'm pretty sure a headache is better than burning a hole through your pouch which is what NSAIDs do.

I wish! I get migraines that are so bad I can't function. I use to take - give to myself, air compression shots because it got so bad it would make my blood pressure 201/130 and had to hospitalize a couple of times. Not sure what to do since surgery.

I used to have severe migranes prior to surgery but they are gone now. Def try hydrating more and if you are taking in caffeine stop.
