Has everyone had to have a psych eval before surgery?

I had one before surgery. It was required by my surgeon.

My surgeon requires an evaluation before.

Has everyone had to have a psych eval before surgery?

I have one scheduled for Nov... Also scheduled by my surgeon

Yes. Most insurance companies and dr require one to make sure you can handle the life chafes the surgery brings and to see if you have any depression that may need treated. Hope this helps good luck.

yes, I think it is a normal requirement. Let's just say I have not heard of anyone that did not have to get one. They are no big deal by the way.

Yeah I had one - as a result I also need a year of therapy concurrently with the op etc... Otherwise the surgeon wouldnt have agreed to do the surgery

I think if you have gotten this far you should be good. My surgery is Tuesday also. What time do you go in?

Congratulations
