Tummy Tuck?

I am going to hit my two year mark in January and I am considering doing a tummy tuck. I carried my weight all over but definitely in the stomach. It's not bad, but I am still in an L-XL top because of it. I can fit into a Medimum but it doesn't look good lol. Has anyone regretted doing one?

What about wearing a shaper for now to conceal the extra skin until its time for the tummy tuck. It might help how you feel. I talked to a woman who lost 152 lbs and she wore a shaper and I would have never know..she looked fabulous. Just a thought.

I started wearing one to exercise.

I had a tummy tuck this past February. It was no cup of tea. For a month I pretty much had the movement of an 80 year old woman. However after 8 weeks I was perfect. I loved the results! I went down a few sizes in jeans and I'm not embarrassed about my stomach anymore! I'm looking into doing more cosmetic procedures soon.

About how much does a tuck cost? Im thinking about inventing the home liposuction kit. A knife, Hoover, thread and needle....ok so my jokes might need improvement too!

Lol! Mine wasn't nearly as much as most people's. I had mine done in Harrison, AR by Dr Taylor. His website is www.drchristaylor.com mine cost about $7000. He did a Wonderful job and his staff treats you like you've been long lost friends. I'm going to have him do my breast too.

I am 28 and 16 months post opt. I am having a tummy tuck on Dec 18th. I am really excited and nervous. I know you want to have your tummy tuck done right away...I can relate but, you may want to wait til after children. If not, no worries just know that the results will go away and in order to have a flat belly again you will need to have another tummy tuck. Its totally up to you. If you know it will be many years before children and you are willing to redo it if needed the go for it and make yourself feel better. Best of luck :)

I had a tummy tuck BEFORE having kids. Everyone says that you will stretch all your skin back out and that it's a waste of time and money. Do not believe it. I did lots and lots of research as well as talking to women who had tummy tucks before getting pregnant. I even talked to several surgeons. Here's the deal, if you gain 15 lbs - 20 lbs you will be JUST fine. You'll be able to bounce back.. If you gain More than what you're suppose to, then of course you'll stretch all your skin out again. In fact if you look up cases of women having tummy tucks before getting pregnant 90% of them will all say that their stomachs never got very large even in their last trimester. Keep in mind that these were women who had children before, had a tummy tuck and then got pregnant again. Those women said that their pregnancy after the tummy tuck was much different than their others. Their stomachs never got very large and didn't gain as much weight as they did with her other pregnancies.

If you had surgery then you know what eating correctly means. Continue this while pregnant and you're golden. Moral of the story is: tummy tucks are worth it. You do not need to wait before kids. Eat correctly. Don't screw yourself with old habits.
