Any fresh post opers experiencing sudden temperature changes? My house is still the same temperature yet I'm cold...and then hot enough to sweat. I don't have a fever and I have no other signs of infection. My muscles are sore throughout my back. I've already made the mistakes I pitied people for doing prior to my surgery. Eating---anything!!! That is no joke. I want steak like I want air. Is it just that I want what I can't have? Typical. A nurse that had had the sleeve said she would take a bite and spit it out. My dog would like that. Anyways, I've lost 10 lbs since Thursday. I would do it again today. Hope everyone is feeling well.

I'm still in the hospital! Yesterday I was having horrible gas pains (that's what I was told it was) between my shoulders, under my breast bone and behind ribs. I've walked marathons!! So I haven't used any pain meds since 4 am. I've been drinking my water, so I'm ready to get going. Once again, dr Richard Peterson and his UT Health has my commendations. Ty all!

I recant my compliments. Can you believe they wouldn't give me bacon and eggs in my IV? So I am spitting up blood. I want to burp so bad, it hurts. But when I do, this rancid tasting phlegmish stuff comes up. Sorry if that's gross. *********************lmk how you do********************

My surgeon had a superman tee shirt underneath his scrubs this morning. That's the last thing I remember. How awesome is that? So, I am starving!! My nurse says its probably thirst, but I assured her you don't get to be my size without being familiar hunger(-; I am so pleased with how I've been treated. They gave me some awesome lip moisturizer. I brought all kinds of stuff, but no need. They have these little sponges for me to suck on. Perfect little sips. Did I mention that IM STARVING??? The gas pains are the only issues. Behind my chest and ribs. DID I MENTION MY STOMACH IS BBQing MY RIBS?? I hope all of you pre-opers have as easy as an experience day of surgery as I did. I might have already mentioned that I'm STARVING!

About how much does a tuck cost? Im thinking about inventing the home liposuction kit. A knife, Hoover, thread and needle....ok so my jokes might need improvement too!

Wow!! That's MY story! As far as smoking. Today I started my week liquid diet. Its strange that everyone is all over the board on length of liquid pre-op. We don't need a thanksgiving meal to know the meaning of being grateful and starting a pilgrimage. Happy holidays future skinny minis!

Good morning WLS peeps! Today is my pre op appointment. Labs, EKG and buying bariatric vitamins. Wow. Counting down to new clothes, new attitude, new stomach, new life. 19 days. Here's to less elastic!

What??? I've seen the dietician once!! I've GAINED 35-40 lbs in 3 months!!! It was like knowing that very soon I would be unable to eat what I wanted, well indulgence us an understatement!! Have this crazy daydream that my ex husband starts treating me nicer and although I'm aware of the change, and why he's nicer, but nevertheless I enjoy being treated with respect. Any truth??

That Dummies book was recommended by the psychologist. I'll have to get it. The surgeon sells Chike protein shakes. Anybody try that? This forum is really great! There's a support group here in San Antonio once a month, but this is anytime anywhere.

Wow! That was great information. I have learned so much today. I have two small children too and didn't consider that I would need different food. My kids are so picky though. Why is Greek yogurt best? I was totally disappointed with my dietician. I got very little info and she hasn't answered my emails. I read somewhere that if you stop losing weight, to go back to the Protein drinks. Any truth to that? I'm so excited! This was very helpful.
