I took lots of baby sips of water and to get the gas moving and out you need to WALK, WALK, WALK. I had surgery on a Monday and the gas did not want to leave until like Thrusday - LOL.

I was in hospital for 5 days and I didn't have any liquids by mouth till I got home. It was like torture mentally but when i got home i was fine I took small sips it was weird at first but got used to it.

I'm 2 dpo, getting discharged today. I was very nauseas...from the morphine. They prescribed me Reglan, which worked great. Also helped get the gas moving:)

Congratulations on your surgery and welcome to gasaholics!!

I am almost 3 weeks post op and gas has been my biggest challenge . Gas x, walking and hot fluids have been my savior

Today I am 3 days post op and I went walking around the block. Felt good to get out there and walk. Definitely helping with gas!

Walking helps a lot with the gas...also I find I have to add some Mio or Propel etc to my water to help get It down...and I have to have it at room temp.

I had no drain, thank God. Just lap incisions closed w/ Dermabond. After surgery, pain prob a 9... Now, 5 dpo maybe a 1.5 :)
