August Sleevers

Well I'm 7 days post-op and 18lbs lighter & 100% pain free. Still on All liquid diet at least until follow-up w/surgeon next Friday. I couldn't be more pleased. My saving grace is walking and 2 15 minute steam room sittings each day. I'm sure its accelerated my healing process. No pain meds since my 3rd day post-op and no gas at all. One other thing is that I have not deviated from my doc's instructions at all. He has the MD behind his name so I left the judgement calls to the pro!

Band to sleeve on Aug 9th, now down 20 pounds as of postop day 17. Having goods days out n about and days of total fatigue...walking lots! Ready to get energy back and feel "normal"! Hard to get all those liquids and proteins in each day. Focusing hard!

I was sleeved on 8/19. 7 days post op today and feeling ok. One incision is still pretty tender but otherwise I'm feeling ok. I've lost 9lbs since surgery. SW 224 DOS 211 CW 202. Total of 22lbs lost.

I was sleeved 8/13. Having a little tenderness on the inside near my belly button. Is anyone else? Getting a little discouraged as I gave been at a stall for 5 days. SW 246, CW 234. I am still on clear liquids and protein shakes ONLY until tues then I can start yogurt, cream of soups, and even purées. Wondering if I am not getting enough calories and my bodies thinks its in starvation mode- thus the stall?? I have been following my doctors plan to the tee!

I am too having pain on my right side..I am 14 days post op. I have also stalled at for one whole week....help........

I was also stalled a day or two. No worries. It will kick in. I get to eat today. I'm sitting here with my farina and I'm literally afraid to eat it. Wish me luck.

Had my surgery on the 19th. 1 week post op and feeling great!! 11 pounds down this week, almost 30 pounds total since I started the pre op diet. Only had pain for the first 12 hours and has been no problem since. I haven't had any pain meds since the night of my surgery. I have my follow up this wed the 28th. I hope to start adding some pureed and soft foods shortly. Hope everyone is progressing as well as I feel!!

I'm having a hard time losing!? Anyone else. Got sleeved on aug 8th. Still on liquids but only down 9 pounds since I'm out if surgery. Any suggestions? Am I drinking wrong? I'm walking to and on the elliptical odd days.

Aw man! You guys are doing great! I'm on Day 4 post-op and I'm exhausted and really, really sore. It feels like I did 100s of sit ups. Honestly, losing weight is the least of my worries - I just want to feel better.... (I had no complications at all...)

Sleeved on August 6th. I am able to eat pureed foods for almost one week now. But I am never hungry. I don't want to eat at all and when I do I am so gassy and umcomfortable after that I just don't want the hassle. I am walking around the block immediately after eating, which helps to move the gas up. I have slowed down and taken small bites with lots of chewing but probably need to slow down even more. I am not drinking before eating and trying to stay away for at least 30 minutes after (old habits die hard!)... I am not regretting my decision but having a hard time coping... maybe a little whiney venting will help change my attitude! I don't want to eat. I am having a hard time getting in any protein let alone enough protein. I don't want my hair to fall out & I want to have some energy back. I have honestly tried almost every protein product on the market and I am finding that everything tastes so off to me that it makes me gag. Even my nose feels super-sensitive to smells and it is turning me off. I was never a sweet eater before but all of the sugar-free foods and drinks are so sickly sweet to me that I can't do it. I am deathly afraid of throwing up although I am feeling slightly nautious almost every time I eat anything. Anyone else having a hard time adjusting? Any tips? Especially tips for getting in protein.

Slowing down is key. GasX really helps too. I also get hiccups when I'm full, which is not pleasant. I really like the Muscletech protein from SAMs, more bang for the small amount you intake, plus if you use Water to make it, that counts toward Fluid goals too
