Can we eat the carb watch wrap bread? I haven't tried any bread and was wondering. I will be two month out next Sunday.

My program guide mentioned that a lot of people had a problem with bread for the first months post op. At two months out, I couldn't eat bread. It made me feel terrible. Later, I was able to eat a few bites of crust and now I can easily eat bread and it might be a slider (haven't eaten enough to find out).

Other than the fact it might not set well, it's not a good nutrition source at 8 weeks. You should be concentrating on Protein and if you are eating Protein at each meal, you probably won't have room for any bread.

Just my two cents: YMMV.

Thank you so much! I appreciate any input that I can get. I probably wouldn't eat any anyway. This stall that I'm experiencing is kind of depressing.

Sorry for the stall. It will pass!

I have seen the Flat Out foldover wraps & heard that half of one is usually a good size for us. They are low carb & have some Protein. I haven't tried them yet, since I'm just 6 weeks out, but plan to try at some point.

I'm 7 1/2 months out and still can't eat bread. I have 1/2 a sandwich thin toasted that I put canned chicken and mayo on for lunch but I can't seem to eat a whole one yet. Everyone is different though and since I'm a carb addict I think it's a good thing that bread doesn't sit we'll for me.

I can't each much bread at all. It doesn't sit well & makes me feel horrible. Bread really isn't my friend these days and I'm ok with that because there really isn't much room after I eat my Protein first, & veggies second.

I got cleared for low carb tortillas/wraps etc. I had a Special K flat bread and I can handle half the bread (take the top off) ... whole thing makes me feel sick.

I ate 3/4 of a flour tortilla 1.5 weeks post op and was paying for it the next day. It's wasn't too bad but had bad reflux and didn't really eat much that day.

I have to admit - tortillas are one thing I still don't eat much of at over two years out. I can eat tortilla chips, but the flour tortilla - I swear I can feel it swelling as soon as a take a couple of bites. I can eat 1 small corn tortilla.

It was soo yummy. I took about half of it off (burrito) since they wrap it a million times. But I'll never do that again. Will just eat the inside stuff.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
