As of right now I'm scheduled or December 16 @ 8am - only a 2 day pre-op diet. After meeting with the surgeon here in town and feel very confident I am in very good hands. Love him and his office manager.

I was hoping for 12/23 but it looks like my doctor's office is going to be pretty barren that week. They said if they decide they'll be doing surgeries that week they will move my date from 12/16 to 12/23. As of right now 12/23 is my one week follow up appointment. :)

Hi December ladies and gentlemen. I'm coming from the October group. Bummed that I have to wait 8 more weeks, but I'm starting a new job and just couldn't do the time off. I work at a community college so as soon as exams are done...hola Tijuana !

I started teaching at a CC this semester and that's why I'm looking at a December date - gotta love the nice break between semesters. My last exam is the 11th (or is it the 12th?) surgery is scheduled for the 16th and the Spring semester starts 1/16. So I'm hoping that's plenty of time to recuperate. Plus, my husband has 2 weeks off at Christmas time so he will be able to take good care of me :)

My job is busiest before Christmas and new projects starts beginning of January. I'm hoping to use the holidays for recovery as well. :)

My last dietician appointment will be mid-November. Should be able to submit shortly thereafter and hopefully get approval in 2 weeks from then. Looking like December, for me too!

Ugh I need to lose 11 more pounds by nov 26th. It seemed like a long time but trying to lose more than what I already have lost is difficult. I keep losing and gaining now >.<

I have my first appointment on Tuesday and I've been told my supervised diet will last for 3 months. Hoping for late December as my wife will be off for the holidays. It may end in January though.

So I got my date 12/23/13. Before x-mas my gift to myself lol

. Yah I'm so happy for you. I've got mine scheduled for Dec 7th now and I can't wait. Some days I get a little nervous and wonder will this really work for me? And will I get fat again? But I think that comes with our territory and past failures. So I'm going to continue to think positive and jump this cliff that's holding me back from being healthy. And Dec can't get here soon enough.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
