August 6'ers?

I know I saw several people getting sleeved on August 6th like me. I began my pre-op liquid diet today and am getting super excited and nervous!!!

What is your pre-op diet like, did you eat any of your favorite foods last week (I know I had a few meals of my favorites), what do you find most exciting/most scary?

Is anyone else having trouble getting in all of their shakes/meals? My preop consists of 3 protein drinks & 2 cups of plain yogurt......and for a couple of days I've missed one of the shakes.

I've been practicing taking small bites with the yogurt.....yesterday it took me 45 minutes to eat 1/2 a cup of yogurt---then I was full (or uninterested, don't know which), but I couldn't take another bite...and had to put the remainder in the fridge for later. Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

I'm not having trouble getting them in. I need to get an itty bitty spoon though.

Got my pre surgery mani/pedi & eyebrow wax. Going to watch a tennis tournament tonight. A day in the country with friends planned for tomorrow. Then heading to Houston on Sunday. Aaaahhhhh...excited/terrified!

4 days to go. Getting things in order at my house. Nervous, anxious and excited. Wish I would got more exercise in before surgery.

Endoscopy and Psych evaluation done...I guess this is really going to happen! I just guzzled down a fruit punch protein drink and it was absolutely disgusting! I'm rewarding myself for getting it down with some chicken broth. I gave up sugar and caffeine last week' date=' so no headache so far.[/quote']

I'm also Aug 6th - in TJ Mexico. Today I start my clear liquid diet (and take a laxative to kick off the fun). Anyone else have to do the clear liquid diet for 3 days (or less)? Are the Isopure (clear protein drinks) allowed?

I have my son's baby spoon I could use if need be LOL

Doing a 2 day clear liquid.....and was specifically told I couldn't drink the Isopure clear drinks.....I am working the day before....figured I could use one of those for a little sustenance

I'm planning on a last run to Walmart to pick up a few things to take with me that I don't already have around the house. I'll be staying for a week afterward in a hotel suite with a kitchenette. Here's my packing list (for out of town surgery): Nightgowns, T-shirt Dresses, Slip-on Sandals, Sports Bras/Low Cut Panties, Pillow, Heating Pad, Extension Cord, Thermometer, Earplugs, Toiletries Bag w/Toothbrush, Chapstick, Lotion, Facial Wipes, Gas X Strips, Sugar Free Hard Candy, Clear Liquids, Full Liquids, Shaker Bottles, Strainer (for soup), Demitasse Spoon, Cooler (for the car trip), Dish Soap, Vitamins, Coffee Stirrers (to use as a mini straw), Nook, iPad, Phone & their chargers, Laundry Basket with Detergent Pods, Softener Sheets & Color Catcher Sheets, and my paperwork for testing I had done in my hometown. I'm also thinking of some small board games & puzzles. Any thoughts? Am I missing anything I might need in the first week away from home?

Where is everybody today?

Laying in bed, thinking of doing my vlog, and realizing I need a script!

Heading out...last time I drove down to Houston a car in front of me kicked up a huge piece of metal mesh and it ripped out my wheel well liner. I'm hoping I have better luck this time.

I wished I had some travel wed mild mouthwash. The combo of ketosis and surgery left me with something less than a fresh mouth :)

WARNING....THIS MAY BE TMI........

Need some input......I'm on day 1 of the clear diet protocol........and complete diarrhea......is anyone else having this?

I don't feel ill, no temperature.......feels like when I did a colonoscopy.......everytime I drink, 5 minutes later I'm heading to the bathroom.....I'll call the dr's in the morning.....but wondering if anyone else is having this too.

Thanks!

Are you drinking too much artificial sweetener? Chewing too much gum? I had it the first day bad (but I also took a laxative in the morning) -- was better the 2nd day (only a little, once).
