August 6'ers?

I know I saw several people getting sleeved on August 6th like me. I began my pre-op liquid diet today and am getting super excited and nervous!!!

What is your pre-op diet like, did you eat any of your favorite foods last week (I know I had a few meals of my favorites), what do you find most exciting/most scary?

I'll be going in for surgery at 8. I'll be praying this evening for wonderful outcomes for all of us! My Dr. Is going abroad on Wednesday, so guess who gets to pay for another 3 nights on top of the week I was prepared for in a hotel until he comes back? Annoying...

6:45am tomorrow for me.

Today...nervous...mostly scared about complications. Have to be at hospital at 8:30. Prayers for everyone!

Good luck everyone! I am nervous!

How's everyone doing? I'm trying to start the protein shakes again today...massive gurgling & burping! Pretty sore. I guess whatever they gave me in the hospital has worn off. I hate pain meds, so I will just tough it out. Last night was the first out of the hospital & I slept really well. How much should we be walking?

I don't have an answer about how much walking we should do.....yesterday was my first day home, and I tended to sleep quite a bit...I'm trying to keep busy today, tidy some things up, so I'm standing and moving about much more.....difficult getting in the liquids.....trying injury chicken broth for lunch.....no shakes for me until Tuesday...supposed to focus on isopure clear, but for some reason it doesn't go down as easy as juice LOL

Hey everyone I had my sleeve done 6th as well. I came home last night and have been doing fair. I am so sore still on the left side of my abdomen and find it hard to stand up straight or deep breath. Anyone else with this? Also trying to take in fluids as best as i can but Its difficult! Did they tell u how many ounces a day of water we should be having? I was quite groggy while I saw the nutritionist and now I'm having a tough time remembering. I love this app and so happy to have everyone to talk to. Anyone else have a drain? Mine comes out next Thursday I can't wait ! I do notice I'm very bubbly gassy and crampy everytime I take sips of anything I can feel it actually go through my stomach. Very strange I hope it passes.

It's more comfortable for me to stand up straight....did they give you a spyro thing a ma jiggy for breakthing exercises? Breathing is getting easier every day.....I was told 20g protein via isopure clear and 40 ounces of water a day. I'm having spasms, and warm liquids do much better than cold or room temperature...good luck!

I'm supposed to have 48-64 oz fluids & 45-80 grams protein. For me that means at least 16 oz protein drink and 32 oz water. No more than 8 oz per hour. I've gotten in almost half of my requirements by mid day, but I've been sipping constantly since I woke up. I want to take a nap, but worried about staying hydrated.

My surgery was on the 6th also. My requirements are the same as ShrinkyDinkMe101 - so far doing okay with doing the liquids and protein shakes. My problem is the big ole horse pills that they sent home with me. I cut them in half and sometimes in quarters but they still feel like they get stuck on the way down. Uncomfortable - not really painful. I'm being truly amazed by how each day is so much better than the day before.

Today is by far my worst day. The liquid

Lortab they sent me home on makes me dizzy and nauseas so I switched to children's Tylenol which is doing nothing. I'm having tough time keeping hydrated iv had a few liquid bowel moments it seems like as soon as I get something in me it goes right back out. I'm so discouraged and upset as I feel so weak.

Sorry you're feeling so bad. I can't tolerate the liquid Lortab either. Try some Gatorade G2? I'm not taking any pain meds and thought I would not be this sore. I ended up having a hernia repair at the same time, so maybe that's what is bothering me. I didn't get in enough protein today, but will try again tomorrow.
